I think to promote Indian Handloom as a brand first we come with platform in our own country and then at small level we can establish small manufacturing unit in other neighbour countries like Afghanistan, and we can also look towards African rural countries and some of European countries like Greece, Poland,Rome etc where once we were sharing our traditions in old days. Bangladesh, Nepal already have their blueprint in international market so stay away from them on this particular business

If we can create market for it some Europe countries , African countries and some other under developed countries . If we can capture that market with our economical range price I think we can create brand for Indian Handloom. Only thing is there is big instability going on in those countries. In history we were having same trade relations with those countries and that potential we can tap it again.

Bharatham is a tropical country, where the consideration of weather should be taken into account, for the people's wearing apparel. Cotton fabrics are most suitable for every one. This to be brought to the notice of all citizens, and encourage to use khadi, handloom dresses.A all driven publicity is essential, Central and state governments should put maximum effort in this regard, educate the public in this regard is the only solution.

Following few suggestions would help uplifting handloom houses in India
(1) All handloom houses in India must be integrated / connected through computers
(2) All State governments & Central government should issue coupons equivalent 2% of their employees and deduct the said amount from their salaries
(3) These employees and redeem these coupons in any of the handloom house across India
(4) Employees would not mind to take 2% of their salary as coupons in National Interest

I think all the factors should be analyzed and remove which abandon the promotion of handlooms and keep the most of people away from it..in terms of quality, rates, looks and usability. Youth is trend setter and if handlooms industries can attract them and convince them that they can be more stylish and more comfortable by using handlooms products...they will definitely adapt it...

There should be a quality revolution in hand looms. Please engage a large consulting company to understand the needs of people, under various age group. Based on the need, color, design, category etc should be made. Then they should be promoted in a right manner. Marketing is a specialized job. Now hand loom is made for whom?

Sir, provide online platform for handloom products. This will attract local as well as foreign customers. E commerce is going to change the scene of small artisans. Govt should give them free technology support initially.

to promote handloom, it is necessary to ensure sufficient demand in the market. We can start with school uniform. the government should offer soaps to the schools which buy the cloth from rural khadi industries through cooperative societies.this will start a demand supply chain benefitting the handicraft particularly in rural areas.
