Indian National Defence University Bill, 2015 proposes to establish a world class fully autonomous institution of National Importance under Ministry of Defence. University will develop and propagate higher education (PhD, M Phil, M Tech and M Sc) in National Security Studies, Defence Management and Defence Technology and promote policy oriented research on all aspects relating to national security, both internal and external. It would also encourage awareness of national security issues by reaching out to scholars and an audience beyond the official machinery. It will also serve as a think tank contributing to policy formulation and debates on security and strategy. INDU will inculcate and promote coordination and interaction not just between the three Armed Services but also between other agencies of the Government, the Civil Bureaucracy, Para Military Forces, Central Armed Police Forces, Intelligence Services, Diplomats, Academicians, Strategic Planners, University Students and officers from Friendly Foreign Countries. It would create synergy between the academic community and Govt functionaries. It would make available opportunities for higher studies through distance learning to interested military personnel.

Initially, four new colleges / institutions, namely School of National Security Studies, School of Defence Technology, School of Defence Management and Centre for Distance and Open Learning are proposed to be set up at main campus at Binola, Gurgaon. The four existing Defence Institutions namely National Defence College (NDC), New Delhi, College of Defence Management (CDM), Secunderabad, Defence Services Staff College (DSSC), Wellington and National Defence Academy (NDA), Khadakwasla, Pune are proposed to be brought under the ambit of INDU without diluting their powers or autonomy for award of degrees and diplomas.

Dear sir I don't want to compare about any party so called "vikash"but my station for 15th Aug. Sir I request u to add one thing that any national or local party that party have to adopt Jila.Vikash will decide on development of the Jila. Sir u always said small thing can change a lot if it happen we all have to see a change in politics sir.... One party one Jila. ..

I think we should start a voluntary donation fund for defence activities.People will happily contribute for the sake of national defence .even one rupee per person will show the magic of peoples strength that our country has. ..........

sir. first work what should be done is to seal our border areas which touches to the country like china and pakisthan. and any person who founds or raises his voice against India or raises the flag of any other nation. he should be shot dead at that time only. we see number of time flags of pakistan is raised on the soil of India that to in jammu and kashmir. such people should be all round punished. so that no one should raise any of their voice against India.

Honourable prime minister, I am a first year engineering student belongs to general category. We are from a middle class family, but we are not having any reservations in society. For instance, there are many scholarship given by government which are available for other than general category. Over more than 7 decades that the reservations is going on in education. Etc... It would be better to think about this. So, that it could be beneficial for all the category.

It is a good initiative of National Importance. 1. It is suggested that the University should also have Regional Centers/Colleges in North, South, East, West and Central India. 2. A center at Coastal Region for Navy Studies and Research should also be included. 3. National Security and Defence Course (1 year) could be included on Distance education mode. So that candidates willing to Join Army/Navy could undergo this course and have a basement Knowledge.

Salute to the all defence personnel and their families....the suggestion of having INDU is a great initiative....should also have mandatory 6 mths or 1 yrs National Service....to be attended by each and every youngster to bring discipline,respect for nation (nationalism), which is to some extent lacking in this generation and preparedness (physically) for any do or die situation, if any, arising in the country.
