Indian National Defence University Bill, 2015 proposes to establish a world class fully autonomous institution of National Importance under Ministry of Defence. University will develop and propagate higher education (PhD, M Phil, M Tech and M Sc) in National Security Studies, Defence Management and Defence Technology and promote policy oriented research on all aspects relating to national security, both internal and external. It would also encourage awareness of national security issues by reaching out to scholars and an audience beyond the official machinery. It will also serve as a think tank contributing to policy formulation and debates on security and strategy. INDU will inculcate and promote coordination and interaction not just between the three Armed Services but also between other agencies of the Government, the Civil Bureaucracy, Para Military Forces, Central Armed Police Forces, Intelligence Services, Diplomats, Academicians, Strategic Planners, University Students and officers from Friendly Foreign Countries. It would create synergy between the academic community and Govt functionaries. It would make available opportunities for higher studies through distance learning to interested military personnel.

Initially, four new colleges / institutions, namely School of National Security Studies, School of Defence Technology, School of Defence Management and Centre for Distance and Open Learning are proposed to be set up at main campus at Binola, Gurgaon. The four existing Defence Institutions namely National Defence College (NDC), New Delhi, College of Defence Management (CDM), Secunderabad, Defence Services Staff College (DSSC), Wellington and National Defence Academy (NDA), Khadakwasla, Pune are proposed to be brought under the ambit of INDU without diluting their powers or autonomy for award of degrees and diplomas.

The last date for sharing inputs on Draft Indian National Defense University Bill, 2015 is 21st August, 2016.

It would be a nice idea to set up a National Defence University and em-panel all military colleges and training institutes to this university, it will help our warriors and Armed Forces/ Government to understand and develop the Modern Art of War, its a nice idea. #INDU

नमस्कार, यदि शिक्षा के वर्तमान स्थिति को सुधारना है तो सबसे पहला काम है सारे शासकीय शिक्षको, अशासकीय शिक्षको का प्रशिक्षण होना चाहिए । शिक्षक योग्य हो, आने वाली भर्ती में ध्यान रखा जाए। डिग्री नहीं दक्षता देखी , परखी जाए।

One word has so much power for example "BJP is best democratic party because of word Bharatiya in start. Patanjali product are much popular because they write that "made in Bharat" the words " Bharat and Bharatiya " are to much powerfull. in place of india and Indian. Even kundli of the word "Bharat and Bharatiya is more powerfull. sir think at least one time why British Gov. change the name of Bharat. You know more then me at time of independence of Bharat everything is preplaned

On same lines please develop a specialised college for 'Township planning & administration' having sub streams for water, solid, traffic, security management etc. At this point India needs to build capability else will not be able to support Urbanisation.

Sir first of all I suggest that I feel proud whenever I said I am Bharatiya (origin word Bharti - Saraswati ) while the word indian is given by British gov. (Indian - Poor, Old fashion, criminal people ref:- oxford dictionary, 1900 century, pg no 789 can search on google). I fell if we want to see Bharat on Peak point we need to start from the base. hence use the word only "Bharat and Bharatiya" . Please change the bill name as it should be "Bharatiya National Defence University (BIND) Bill"

Looks to be a good idea. Should not get mired in 3 services staff. Should be a unified one, with student having choice to specialise in any stream & take up research. Plenty of scope. Also include stats & big data as one of the field, its critical for strategy development. Admission can be via IIT JEE exam to get the best & interested brains.

medical student from Gujarat Sir I wants to give some suggestions for our Army people Sir when army people die surely government give some compensation to them But sir I suggest that government should open one account of that person after his death and then ask everyone in the country to give just only one rupee sir we have second largest population in the world around 120 crore…. And also by doing this we can encourage our youth to come to army So please do something on this !!!!!!!!

भारतीय जवानो को कुछ आपातकालीन विशेषाधिकार देने चाहिए। जैसे- सीमा पार से आये आतंकवादियो को बिना अनुमति प्राथमिक कार्यवाही कर सकते हे। अन्तर्देशिय घुसपैठ को रोकने हेतु ऊपरी आदेशो से मुक्ति। यदि ये हो जाये तो देखिये कमाल। क्योंकि ये सभी घुसपैठिये बड़े अधिकारियो और नेताओ से सम्पर्क क बाद ही आते हे। यदि जवानो को बिना अनुमति कार्यवाही की छूट मिल गयी तो ये लोग सीमा पार करने से पहले 100 बार सोचेंगे।

My Dearest Army , I provide to be a civilian under your Supervision, But i really heart when one of us are SAHID, my suggestion is that put our remote operated sensor and machine on border and put machine gun with fully operated with command from control room.
