In order to design an interoperable ecosystem of data, applications and processes, there is a need to formulate a policy for the Government Organizations to provide Open Application Programming Interfaces (APIs). The “Policy on Open APIs for Government of India” has been drafted to encourage formal use of Open APIs in Government Organizations. This policy sets out the Government’s approach on the use of “Open APIs” to promote software interoperability for all e-Governance applications & systems and provide access to data & services for promoting participation of citizens and other stakeholders.

You are requested to provide your inputs on the policy and suggest implementation approach across the government.

To read the abstract of Open API Policy please refer the following URL: https://static.mygov.in/static/s3fs-public/Draft_Policy%20on%20Open%20AP...

Hi, Most of the NGOs are associated with making Black Money by helping people to not giving their actual amount of Income Tax properly with the help of 80G registration. Most of the NGOs are misusing their power of 80G registration. If can, please think about it.

Swachh Bharath is a very good and inspiring idea.My concern about the issue is to involve citizens, municipalities and all concerned bodies and bring awareness among the citizens on Waste management.Dumping measures in urbans have to be improved.Japan is buying wastes to generate electricity.Feasibility and possibility of generating electricity from wastes need to be concentrated.Dustbins as well as Toilets need to be set up in 1-3 km of vicinity. Then the spirit of Swach Bharath will be reality.

As part of digital India project, why not make all government tender announcements online on a dedicated web page? Currently, see any news paper, it is filled with tender announcements ads for which a lot public money is wasted. On their part, many news papers survive on such public money and they do not do their primary job (of reporting accurate and well researched news) well. Having a central website for tenders will make sure that there is no longer a need to advertise it on newspapers.

Introduction of API is a very good initiative as we an see that every developed country now has this facility so that they could directly connect themselves with the common public. This will indeed eliminate the work of the middle man and also bribery. I suggest that every thing right from resuming pension scheme after retirement to application of driving license must come on line provided that specific parameters are scrutinized. Also govt. must provide free detailed tutorials about its manuals

India is one India but still the indian has to cough up the roaming in the country despite commitment by the ex telecom minister. Take example of USA each state is separate even than they provide free minutes in the month for call in local or out of state & remaining minuets are carried over to next month usages. Prove cheap call rate & hazel free connectivity & good net speed also on mobile.
