In order to design an interoperable ecosystem of data, applications and processes, there is a need to formulate a policy for the Government Organizations to provide Open Application Programming Interfaces (APIs). The “Policy on Open APIs for Government of India” has been drafted to encourage formal use of Open APIs in Government Organizations. This policy sets out the Government’s approach on the use of “Open APIs” to promote software interoperability for all e-Governance applications & systems and provide access to data & services for promoting participation of citizens and other stakeholders.

You are requested to provide your inputs on the policy and suggest implementation approach across the government.

Digitization is need of present and future but it must be safe. Govt. should brings some effective laws for prevention of people from cyber crime.

Ministry of interior should convert all ashar card into electronic card. For gas bill electricity bill nd any other government bills should be given under one card itself. Nd if some one commits a crime and if he does not pays his fine that should be entered in the ashar card. Because when he pays any government bill at that time he won't be able to pay his bill as he gets an notification that he must first pay his fine first only then he can pay his bills.

In our country many public rules exist. E.g. Traffic Rules, Public Smoking / Tobacco Rules etc. If these rules are transparently executed, government can reduce collecting different Taxes from Citizens and can collect heavy Fines/ Dues if the Rules are not followed. These rules can be executed in Tier 1/Tier2/Tier3 Cities Primarily which will generate a good amount of funds for Infrastructure Development. This will ensure Discipline in our lives & will also directly contribute to SwachtaAndolan

Governament should focus on generating power using garbage. Install powerplants. Govt.should purchase segregated garbage from garbage collectors and pay them a fixed amount per kg or per ton.People will collect and sell and make money. Make all housing societies to arrange garbage collection centers and send the collection to power plant. Based on amount of garbage give the societies tax concessions. If poor people can earn money "Swacha Bharat" abhiyan will move forward easily and quickly.

As different States' government would not like to co-operate with the Central government in the beginning. So API should be designed as such it can access different back-end with same front-end and back-end should be different for different departments. At the beginning, API can be implemented on few department and then gradually taking all department under it. In this way States which are not working digitally can begin with few services then become completely digital.

Dear sir,i am a student of engineering.in case of apprenticeship training,facing various problem of pvr(police verification report).all level of west bengal police systems are corruptive.please use the digitalization process on GOVT JOB & PASSPORT VERIFICATION.they take too long time to verify,and also submit the wrong information about the candidate.please help us who are suffering from this corruptive system.thanking you.
