Chandigarh Administration is determined to provide 24x7 access to potable water to the residents of all Villages, Colonies and Sectors of U.T., Chandigarh. Towards its commitment to develop Chandigarh as a Smart City, the Chandigarh Administration has been making every effort, not only to ensure round the clock supply of water but also supply of water fit for human consumption.

The methodology to further strengthen the supply network of drinking water is to be chalked-out in consultation with the residents of Chandigarh. Municipal Corporation Chandigarh (MCC) is responsible for supply of quality water with sufficient water pressure throughout the day to meet their daily needs, but still there is some shadow area in which water in which water supply is problematic due to some reasons. Chandigarh Administration would ensure that all necessary steps are taken up in terms of strengthening distribution network and reduction in wastage of water etc.

Therefore, Chandigarh Administration would like to invite ideas, views, opinion and suggestions from the residents so that the objective of 24x7 supply of portable water could be achieved.

rain water harvesting. its rainy season, and these days rain is expected every day (in Delhi, not sure about Chandigarh). still, in India most of the rain water goes waste. the water from roads goes to savage and then to rivers, not being used. we should start installing rain water harvesting plants on the roof tops of government offices and houses at least. and, then it should serve as an inspiration for other ppl to install it in their offices n houses, giving a great result.

India has got abundant supply of fresh water resources, but the importance lies in distribution of the resource available. there are lot of dry areas which depend on the seasonal rains, if water is made available to them, more land can be brought under irrigation, We also have to look for areas, where there is large scale destruction due to floods, the same water can be distributed throughout the year. The land, soil, terrain have to be taken into account.

Water harvesting strategies should be focussed on. This will only give rise to the main solution to the problem faced by the people. Water Harvesting mission should be supported by govt. in a major way

#WaterSupply, #Chandigarh : Every drop of rain water should be stored. Or it should sent to underground to enrich water tables. You can adopt water syringe technology to send rain water to enrich ground water. A 35 feet 5inch bore connected with water from roof top can do wonders.

Respected Prime minister, I'd like to suggest you to give speech about our NATIONAL GAME.Because in India if we ask a kid to name the cricket players he may be able to tell all the players, and even international players. But if we ask to name any 1 hockey player there will be no answer. Not only the kid but even if we ask an adult also there will be no answer. So make our citizens aware that our national game is Hockey not cricket.I'm not telling to discourage cricket but to encourage HOCKEY.
