Chandigarh Administration is determined to provide 24x7 access to potable water to the residents of all Villages, Colonies and Sectors of U.T., Chandigarh. Towards its commitment to develop Chandigarh as a Smart City, the Chandigarh Administration has been making every effort, not only to ensure round the clock supply of water but also supply of water fit for human consumption.

The methodology to further strengthen the supply network of drinking water is to be chalked-out in consultation with the residents of Chandigarh. Municipal Corporation Chandigarh (MCC) is responsible for supply of quality water with sufficient water pressure throughout the day to meet their daily needs, but still there is some shadow area in which water in which water supply is problematic due to some reasons. Chandigarh Administration would ensure that all necessary steps are taken up in terms of strengthening distribution network and reduction in wastage of water etc.

Therefore, Chandigarh Administration would like to invite ideas, views, opinion and suggestions from the residents so that the objective of 24x7 supply of portable water could be achieved.

The water solution problems are there on every district espically this year the amount of rainfall is horrible.. I request the government to make all the industries Irrespective of what sector to have their own land where trees can be grown...I hail from bellary district before there was only jindal now mithal steel industries are coming what should happen to the state .I request to stop all these nonsense and concentrate on ecologic al imbalance

please make compulsory use of water level sensors in water tanks so that once tank is filled... wastage of water could be curbed....this simple step can save millions of litres of potable water...

Carryout water audit and hydraulic modeling for Chandigarh city. So that water will be saved and consumer will get water with adequate pressure.

WATER SUPPLY IN CHANDIGARH - CONTD. 1. Gardens of Chandigarh -special monitoring- recycled water may also be utilised 2. Sectoral Analysis-Water supply, consumption, shortages-data in public domain-corrective measures considered in public interest 3. Awareness campaigns be launched 4. WATER SUPPLY IN CHANDIGARH 1. A lot of water goes waste because of leakages in water supply pipes. Staff at the supply centre should monitor his catchment area four times daily 2.
