The mandate of the Ministry of Culture is to preserve, promote, explore and share India’s culture and heritage along with ethos and values for the benefit of mankind. For achieving this Mission, the Ministry undertakes the following activities:

• Maintenance and conservation of heritage, historic sites and ancient monuments
• Administration of libraries
• Promotion of literary, visual and performing arts
• Observation of centenaries and anniversaries of important national personalities and events
• Promotion of institutions and organizations of Buddhist and Tibetan studies
• Promotion of institutional and individual non-official initiatives in the fields of art and culture
• Entering into cultural agreements with foreign countries

The functional spectrum of the Ministry ranges from creating cultural awareness from the grass root level to the international cultural exchange level. Details about several Schemes which are administered by Ministry of Culture for providing financial assistance for promoting cultural activities are available on the Ministry’s website (http://indiaculture.nic.in/).

Also, various organizations under the Ministry of Culture organize cultural programs and events from time to time.

The Ministry has decided to invite suggestions from the public regarding innovative ideas for effective use of Media in promoting Indian Culture and Heritage.

It is requested that the individual suggestions may be limited to about 200 words.

Be an Bhartiya I advice to all the Media (Electronic & Paper), pl promote our Identified Old Culture in new version , first domestically for our new generation then Internationally by visited foreign Tourist and organised seminar in Abroad to explain thoroughly our Bhartiya Heritage with Idol opinion of our Icons.

Hon'ble P.M, Modi Jee Namaskar Many congratulation to give best gift as "Fasal Bima Yojna" on Rashtriya Stage with Surakcha to our Farmers. Due to political disputes , name clause is most important in our Bhartiya Politics so, to build confidence in the Farmers to their safety & security in Agriculture Sector in the launched projects of GOI easy focused name is important to the mostly semi educated our Bhartiye Farmers, So I have suggested it's name as "RASHTRIYA FASALSURAKCHA BIMA YOJNA"

Dear sir, I think we should use media to show our heritages making shows about that .. and host them a great personality like amitabh bacchan.. and show that we should accept the western culture.. thats not good for indian culture and heritage..

Hello to all my icons , My name is ratnesh sharma , I am a software engineer . I have an idea about smart platform toilets . I thinks in our country we have numbers of railway platform , but most of the platforms toilets are not clean , because most of the people don't want to flush the toilet after use .If we made a automatic flush system that activate after first foot press in toilet area,I have a small design that needs only foot press . it makes India image good.

Dear Mr. Prime Minister, It is indeed a great pleasure to have India in the Intellectual Property Right Map of the World, yet we stand in the 37th position out of 38 in Patent trolls. Yet the most important IPR of all times which India is rich at is the Geographical Indications (GI) which represents the Culture, Heritage, tradition of the Country in International Platform.But, it is sad that not much been done to promote it in any directions - in Media or else where. Hope for +ve actions.

Dear Mr.PM & Authorities, Its good to observe the development of our "Mother India".Its the time to develop "Self Discipline" in every Indian mind. We should agree that the development wont comes without discipline.Children are future of India.If we introduce Self Discipline classes in every school (minimum 1-8 class) we can harvest good citizen with in few generation along with my "Developed Great India" Will you do ? Respescted sir, We should make available an app that links directly to the books and articles on our culture and heritage. This link should be an authentic and secure so no one can tamper this. The books and articles on this link can be made free of cost along the lines of gutenberg project, where all classics and various books are made available online totally free of cost. The same may be widely publicised in all schools and colleges. From jothi priya
