The mandate of the Ministry of Culture is to preserve, promote, explore and share India’s culture and heritage along with ethos and values for the benefit of mankind. For achieving this Mission, the Ministry undertakes the following activities:

• Maintenance and conservation of heritage, historic sites and ancient monuments
• Administration of libraries
• Promotion of literary, visual and performing arts
• Observation of centenaries and anniversaries of important national personalities and events
• Promotion of institutions and organizations of Buddhist and Tibetan studies
• Promotion of institutional and individual non-official initiatives in the fields of art and culture
• Entering into cultural agreements with foreign countries

The functional spectrum of the Ministry ranges from creating cultural awareness from the grass root level to the international cultural exchange level. Details about several Schemes which are administered by Ministry of Culture for providing financial assistance for promoting cultural activities are available on the Ministry’s website (http://indiaculture.nic.in/).

Also, various organizations under the Ministry of Culture organize cultural programs and events from time to time.

The Ministry has decided to invite suggestions from the public regarding innovative ideas for effective use of Media in promoting Indian Culture and Heritage.

It is requested that the individual suggestions may be limited to about 200 words.

Heritage ko save kare par uske modernization Ki jaroorat Ni h.isse uske mahtv aur culture dono ko loss h.heritage ko tv ke alava news papers me bhi indian heritage ke column include Ho jaaye with attractive pics to help hogi.har rajya me unka ek local subject hona chahiye.jisme unki sanskriti aur dharohar ke baare h knowledge Ho.logo ke Mann me bhaav jagana hoga unke dhrohar aur sanskriti ke prati.Heritages ka advt uske rajya desh aur logo ke samman se jod Kr public ke saamne rakhiye. Dear PM Sir, Can we think of organizing "Rajya Mela" in few Indian state every year. The Mela will display/promote the cultural heritage, Food, State crafts etc. It will promote tourism too if Railways offers discounts in travel, hotel. People will definitely go spend time when they go for vacation. Timing should be such that entire family can go. It will help boost State economy, promotes welfare, boost tourism.

We shall show the world what our true identity is'is it a place of elephants and snake charmers' or its a place which has given world knowledge of economics,Ayurveda,yog\, first ever known republican state(Lichachavi),center for learning (Nalanda) and several monarch who never destroyed others culture values or custom to establish our Own Culture. For example we made temple of god and godless all across but never forced any one to have faith in our believe.

Sir, along with the bringing in of our old culture and good old habits, please teach these people about using eco-friendly products and also about the consequences of destroying forests and Wildlife. This was done by the developed nations a long time age and now they are able to sustain themselves in a lot of ways.

Dear Sir, my suggestion is for connecting the NRI or foregion nationals with indian govt initiatives for building the positive image for india.All the big countries like USA,CHINA,JAPAN & UK have their International NEWS Chanels like BBC,NHK WORLD,CNN etc the same way India should also have a International News Chanel like DD NEWS or News India so that people like us as well as our fellow friends of native countries where we live should not trap into -ve reports by media channels
