Under UJALA scheme, the main objective is to promote efficient lighting, enhance awareness on using efficient equipment which reduces electricity bills and helps preserve the environment. Efficient light bulbs, like LEDs, consume only one-tenth of the energy used by ordinary bulbs to provide the same or better light output. So, we ask you to suggest ways for promoting the use of LEDs on this open discussion forum.

The best way is to show how led is beneficial I.e 1 all roads should be lighted with led in rural areas also 2 all government offices also should use only led 3 subsidy on led sale 4 try to pull off all taxes levied on manufacturing and sale of led bulbs 5 all historical places should be decorated by led lights so people will notice the beauty of using led 6 All public transports should have led bulb use I.e. inside train buses etc.

#LEDs #EnergyConservation Government and Electricity Board should encourage the customers by explaining the use of LEDs and its advantage by providing the quality LED bulbs at an affordable cost or with some offers. Once People started using it they will understand the benefits. Electricity Board should perform this action from Village to Metro Cities.

The government should encourage local manufacturers to start LED bulb manufacture. Presently, most are imported or assembled or just stamped and the cost is too high. Plus, the cost benefit ratio is not in favor of users. To wield the stick, so to say, the government could cancel licences of manufacturers of incandescent bulbs and tube lights if they do not switch over to manufacturing LED bulbs of all types in a phased manner. The manufacturers should strive to lower costs.

According to me to encourage the use of LED the electric bulb should be banned. In this way we can save a lot of electric and for this there should be a great subsidy on LED.

I don't understand why common people don't understand the importance of energy and water and waste them without knowing their importance or throw garbage on the roads or just besides their houses because this may cause diseases to them. If our government started the campaigns to remove all these problems for our future then why not we can by joining them because they are wasting a lot if it not gets successful they are giving subsidy on led bulbs which's of no use for government but still they

Comparison in Electricity Bills shall be made with and without consuming LEDs, & this should be advertised in print media, thus the cost effectiveness could ensure its bigger use. Secondly, the brightness of LEDs with that to other means shall be shown in TV ads. With this, longer life shell of LEDs shall be promoted, and if possible, cheaper LED bulbs shall be made available.

#LEDs What you do if smone suggest you to use LEDs.Some ignore nd some agree then ignore it nd rarely really accept it. So to mk smone understnd about benefits of LEDs is worthless. Instd gov should show them their benefits by showing the calculation of money which smone save by using LEDs, can easily get attrcted by others. Calculation should of large time period so saving comes in large amnt bcz human mind get easily attracted by large numbers and numbers are most powerful things in this world
