Under UJALA scheme, the main objective is to promote efficient lighting, enhance awareness on using efficient equipment which reduces electricity bills and helps preserve the environment. Efficient light bulbs, like LEDs, consume only one-tenth of the energy used by ordinary bulbs to provide the same or better light output. So, we ask you to suggest ways for promoting the use of LEDs on this open discussion forum.

I request government that while giving contract of public buildings like bus stands, railway stations govt schools and all other sectors in the Bill of Quantities you have to mention the use of LED is compulsory or else the tender should be disqualified.Later on encourage the normal light manufacturing industrialists to stop the manufacture of mercury and Cfl bulbs and provide the subcidies to manufacture LED Bulbs then automatically whole india graually transforms to powersaving LED Nation India

Make it more stylish like make some drawings on it or you can make some designes like polka dot and something else on it because people want to make thier home beautiful and if you print some drawings on LED's shell then it make it more stylish and maybe people start purchasing it because in today's world people mostly focus on those things which are stylish and it not let you to spend more on its advertisement only just say that you make it stylish that's it. Thankyou.

Let the ladies in the villages be given the responsibility to sell this product only to anyone with a cut of 2/- for every bulb. This scheme will give a boost to the LED revolution.
