Under UJALA scheme, the main objective is to promote efficient lighting, enhance awareness on using efficient equipment which reduces electricity bills and helps preserve the environment. Efficient light bulbs, like LEDs, consume only one-tenth of the energy used by ordinary bulbs to provide the same or better light output. So, we ask you to suggest ways for promoting the use of LEDs on this open discussion forum.

Make it non-taxable commodity or as minimum as possible Ask societies/apartments to use led which will save eenergy and in lieu govt can relax the tax amount of which led has been bought

I think Make this very SImple. One Aadhar = 1 LED (Or with Discount) This wat Genuine people will get the LED. Make it available on Near Railway Station / Bus Depot. For City public you can tie up with Amazon or Flipkart. But Condition is same - 1 Adhar = 1 LED. I'm sure this idea will help govt to create more adhar card as well as product reach to genuine people.

led distribution CSC ke dwara kiya jaye kyuki ye log har gram sabha me pakadh rakhte hai

aapko chahiye ki bijli k bill k sath led bulb lekar aadmi jaye aur uske fayde bataye aur sath led bulb ko jaruri kar diya jiya...aur led bulb use karne walo ko adarsh banakar najeer diya jaye aur kam urja khapath walo ko unke ganv block ya fir jile star par sammanit kiya jaye. ye jaroor kaam karega

10 led compulsory kar do har bill ke saath or unki kist kar do 5 ya 10 mahine ki jo ki bill me adjust ho jaaye. Jisse ki har garib ko bhi fayda milega or LED mission bhi poora hoga.

Let there be a selfie campaign with LED bulbs. The PM should choose the favorite pic and showcase it through different platform.

Happy to announcement of Ujala scheme. I gone to purchase on few of the address mentioned on www.ujala.gov.in. But they have admitted it is false address on website, this is only bill collection center and not LED distribution center. Please look into this and do needful.

It is mostly cities with big offices, big malls and street lighting that consume most electricity. All govt offices should purchase only LED. All malls given few months deadline to move to LED. Several cities have now LED street lights. Consumption is maximum in cities so LED should be targeted in cities.

Why don't we simply put a ban on CFL and other bulbs? Or the government can increase taxes on CFL and other incandescent light bulb to meet the price of Led.
