Under UJALA scheme, the main objective is to promote efficient lighting, enhance awareness on using efficient equipment which reduces electricity bills and helps preserve the environment. Efficient light bulbs, like LEDs, consume only one-tenth of the energy used by ordinary bulbs to provide the same or better light output. So, we ask you to suggest ways for promoting the use of LEDs on this open discussion forum.

I think LED should sell in village to village ...try n see result so govt try to sell in villages by theie electri sbstation

our electricity wastage more in villages coz they used florescent bulb which cost rs10 only. i think first we hv to look into rural area and people of rural area didnt now the benefits of it and also the memeber of the gram pnachayat dont know. i suggest that first one meeting held with all the pachayat member and aware them about #LED and #UJALAScheme. and also wnt to suggest some locly or cheap cost #LED also spply by some cheap people must stop them.

Namaste sir, I think in so many villages people who don't know abt LED bulbs, as sir Gandhiji told India is the country which is formed by villages. So, government has to serve the LED bulbs to villages with their own risk, depending on electricity bills with reliable discount. May be 4 LED bulbs is enough for one account. Thank you sir...

सर मुझे ऐसा लगता है की LED का वितरण काफी हद हो चूका है सिर्फ ग्रामीण छेत्रो और असंगठित छेत्र के लोगो को छोड़कर | इन दोनों छेत्रो के लोग LED को इसलिए नहीं खरीदते है क्योंकि इसका मूल्य अधिक है और ज्यादातर लोग 100wt के बल्ब का इस्तमाल करते है क्योंकि इसका मूल्य 10-20 रूपए है | इसलिए मेरा मानना है की यदि सिर्फ बैंक खाता धारक को 10 से 20 रूपए में LEDदी जाये तो इससे वित्तीय समांवेशन में मदद मिलेगी और LED का वितरण भी हो जायेगा | धन्यवाद

Sir please all over india Road light fix the LED so I think lot of energy saving. and also promote home equipment maker can a make LED technology like that AC,Coolar Fridge and other equipment.
