Electronic waste (e-waste) creates a global crisis due to environmental degradation. India, as a growing economy, is facing serious challenges in managing the volume of generated e-waste due to lack of environmental awareness and socio-economic issues. Major concern of e-waste management in India is its recycling undertaken by non-formal sector not adhering to health and environmental norms.

While e-waste poses a problem for the environment it is also a source of valuable resources and contains a number of precious metal and mineral resources, which are available in very limited quantities in nature.

While Ministry of Environment and Forests and Climate Change is involved in enacting laws, guidelines referring to e-waste and has formulated the E-Waste (Management and Handling) Rules, 2010 wrt safe handling of e-waste, Department of Electronics and Information Technology (DeitY) has addressed indigenous technology development through its R&D efforts to recycle e-waste and extract pressure resources following environment and health norms.

In this direction DeitY has initiated a demonstration plant to showcase its developed technology of processing printed circuit boards (PCB) to recover precious metals at Bangalore. DeitY also proposes to provide capital subsidy to authorized recyclers for processing e-waste similar to support available under the M-SIPS scheme of DeitY. Further recyclers using indigenous technology could be given additional advantage.

DeitY seeks views and suggestion to address the e-waste issues both in term of technology development as well as policy initiatives.

Comments should be received by 10th February, 2015.

In my 14 days visit to MP I have examined the pregnant women and the neonatal care. The results were completely dissatisfactory because there was lack of awareness among women about the medical care and the financial facilities provided by the central and the state governments. The women delivered premature babies pretime third trimester. The preterm deliveries were because of the lack of sufficient diets as well as the harassment done on women during intercourse. The preterm were weak IQ.

E-wastes are piling up in PSUs & in government offices due to complex disposal procedure. E-waste procedures must be made simple and implemented across all PSUs & government sectors. In PSUs & government sectors disposal is a problem due to setting up of reserve price, which makes the whole process cumbersome. Government must set reserve price for E-wastes and there must be Govt approved E-waste recycling agencies.Let us take it seriously and implement it.

Garbage handling is not good in many parts even in delhi area, My suggestion to make fuel pallets / briquettes from this garbage on local level, this can be manage by MLA/Ward members and maintain by local authorized person. by this we can engage manpower as well as cleaning of area very nice way. Technology available word wide, and most of the European contrary already performing successfully. This activity will help to boost up the green india policy

The regions of North-East India and rest of the India is so poorly connected by railway which makes that part really separated from us. Government should seriously take some steps to make railway lines to those regions.. Just developing the smart cities wil not develop our nation wholly.... Jai Hind...

I suggest declaring nationalization & interring connectivity of all rivers which will boost up agriculture sector, also we need to work out to block the rivers merging in the sea as it is waste of water.

Gopika P 7 secs ago Sir , what is the need for launching new schemes for girl child when the no: of sexual abuses against women and even children are increasing tremendously ??? Violence against women have reached the extremes. There are large number of acid victims in our country. Why should the govt launch schemes to save the girl child if she has to be a victim and live a life like in hell and the accused living a normal life ... Feeling ashamed of such dreadful deeds. Pls take some actions

2. Policy to promote E-waste Recycling: - Promote Existing Re-cycling companies: Few companies like Attero, EWRI.in, EWasteIndia etc, should be promoted to train more people into this domain. They should be provided enough funding options in order to expand nation-wide. - EWaste Re-cycling to tackle Unemployment: Govt should promote opening of E-waste recycling as a viable employment/entrepreneurship option.Training/Financial help should be given.

In order to purify the water, it should be boiled up with the help of heating iron. The first step towards sterilisation is the boiling up of the water and then starts the condensation process. while cooling up of water, do not replace the heating iron quickly but allow it to remain dipped into water for some minutes so that the inversion of the current should start carrying the dirt back. Normally there is 110 degree angle between the H-O-H molecule that starts tilting towards the oxygen atom.
