Developing the teaching talent and incentivizing best teachers, retaining good teachers are all significant to improving the quality of teaching. Views are elicited so that our higher education institutions can nurture good faculty who in turn can propel higher standards in our students.

I am happy that the evolution of New Education Policy is half way through with different themes for PRIMARY and HIGHER Education. However we can't find the context of radical approach with regard to mode of instruction, we still hold on to the age old tradition of British system i.e strict classroom transaction and evaluation which even students themselves feel useless most of the time. In this context how do we place a teacher, is a major question.let us think on from teachers,perspective

If the salary of teachers/professors is increased by 3-4 times then many IITians or an MBA degree holder will also show their intrest towards the teaching sector,who at present mainly think of UPSC.
