India is among 51 countries to sign the “Rome Declaration” on “Achieving Self-sufficiency in Safe Blood and blood products based voluntary non-remunerated donation”. Blood is an intrinsic requirement for health care and proper functioning of the health system. National AIDS Control Organization under Department of Health and Family Welfare has been primarily responsible for ensuring provision of safe blood for the country since 1992. National Blood Policy 2003 reiterates firmly the government’s commitment to provide safe and adequate quantity of blood, blood components and blood products.

However, in India, a needy patient or his relatives have to run from pillar to post in search of blood and the onus of procurement of blood still lies with the patient and not with the service provider.

Suggestions are invited on how to develop a nationally coordinated and well networked blood transfusion service in the country and reach 100% voluntary blood donation to enable us to meet the global goal of self sufficiency in blood and blood products.

Respected sir, I want to drawn your attention towards the stoppage timings of train at different station. It should be according to number of passengers not according to city . on 3rd Dec in jind due to less stoppage time one of my known person has undergone major surgery and lost his both the legs. Now unable to earn his daily bread.it should be the responsibility of Railway department that journey should be safe. So stoppage time should be 5 min not 1 min as Narwana.to prevent crippling India

Bus shelter: I find all sorts of bus shelters on road side. Most of these do not leave any space for pedestrian movement. A standard customized shelter can be developed by experts which accommodates right of pedestrian movement on footpath and can be installed by simple anchor bolts / spikes, will go a long way to meet the objective of bus commuters needs with minimal obstruction to regular traffic movement. Thank you.

Traffic violations: We have public eye portal at Bengaluru by traffic police to report traffic violations. I posted 3152 parking violations at our locality main road over a period of 30 days. I did not find any improvement even after a month. I met ACP Traffic and inquired about my suggestion of having volunteers on incentive basis so that problem gets addressed in real time. He advised me to approach Central Govt. Hence, this message is posted. Request, address the issue. Thank you.

There should be more street lights in DDA park adjoining subhash nagar block 16 , mayaprui and press colony as its very unsafe. there should be police patrolling at least ones in fortnightly basis in the park to check on unruly people entering park and indulging in drugs.

Govt can declare NATIONAL BLOOD DONATION day to give opportunity to people on specific day to participate in national program. Govt compulsory give instruction to Primary Health Centers to have involvement in Blood accessing program.Convert Blood Bank to Special caring center to provide good facility to store accessing blood.

I opined that initially increase the blood donation centers across India and with providing health staff to center. Govt should establish youth units to reach people through using technology and communication. Giving advertisement through media that offer information of benefits of blood donators and receiver. Making compulsory for donating blood for Govt officials and politicians that can be aware people and encourage youths to involving in target of access to safe blood 100% voluntary
