India is among 51 countries to sign the “Rome Declaration” on “Achieving Self-sufficiency in Safe Blood and blood products based voluntary non-remunerated donation”. Blood is an intrinsic requirement for health care and proper functioning of the health system. National AIDS Control Organization under Department of Health and Family Welfare has been primarily responsible for ensuring provision of safe blood for the country since 1992. National Blood Policy 2003 reiterates firmly the government’s commitment to provide safe and adequate quantity of blood, blood components and blood products.

However, in India, a needy patient or his relatives have to run from pillar to post in search of blood and the onus of procurement of blood still lies with the patient and not with the service provider.

Suggestions are invited on how to develop a nationally coordinated and well networked blood transfusion service in the country and reach 100% voluntary blood donation to enable us to meet the global goal of self sufficiency in blood and blood products.

Dear Gurus of RSS, I touch your feet as I am a member of RSS. I request you all to focus and give emphasis on DEVELOPMENTAL ISSUES OF THE COUNTRY keeping away from those narrow religious issues presently. Modijee now concentrate on the developmental policies. Never try to spoil the image of the party.Have control over your tongu Regards.

2- primary schools must arrange an extra curricular schedule in which sports competitions of different types are mandatory to take part in and annual grading should be an amalgamation of written and sports performance. ( as a culture of sports only can keep the youth away from this dark drugs world).

A MANDATORY COLUMN OF ''DRUG REPORT'' SHOULD BE ADDED BY GOVERNMENT WHILE ISSUING DRIVING LICENSES/AADHAR CARD ETC .. UNDER WHICH A COMPULSORY NARCOTICS REPORT OF BLOOD , LUNGS AND GENETIC CHECKUP IS CONDUCTED AND IS EXPLICITLY MENTIONED AS THE LEVELS OF INTOXICATION THE APPLICANT HAD USED TO [ this will completely frustrate the luxuries of young generations ]

I have forwarded some views of mine to our prime minister at his portal MYGOV.IN regarding his national interest talk (MAN KI BAAT- "DRUG FREE INDIA '') My ideas for prevention, rehabilitation and reformation of drugs monster which today engulfs the not so smart and emotional youth who often succumbs to drugs for the sake of normal ups and down of life and mostly just follow the fashion of consuming big words like BOOZE,SMOKE, WEED, CHARAS ETC. ( as to feel a sense of being great and mature)

Shouldn't our Police Stations be more citizen welcoming . Maybe start with changing the uniforms to a more calming colour , the reception can be like a bank with a lady/ gent secretary to provide comfort to the visitor and help with the procedure .
