The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting (MIB) sent a reference dated 22nd August 2019, seeking recommendations of TRAI on reserve prices for 283 cities (260 new + 23 existing), under FM Phase-III Policy.

Accordingly, this Consultation Paper has been prepared to seek the comments/views of the stakeholders on the issues related to estimation of the reserve prices for auction of FM Radio channels.

As part of the consultative process, the Consultation Paper has been uploaded on the TRAI website. Written comments on the consultation paper are invited from the stakeholders by 6th November 2019. Counter-comments, if any, may be submitted by 13th November 2019.

According to me the trai department should not set up the value of FM channel as FM radio runs even weaker section and if FM channel value is set up, they will be deprived of the news they are getting cheaper.

ऍफ़ एम् रेडियो से भारत की 80% जनसंख्या मनोरंजन के साथ- साथ समाचार का लाभ उठाती है तथा दूर दराज तक इसकी सीमा है ,विज्ञापन से ऍफ़ एम् रेडियो को भी आमदनी होती है !

Our country , INDIA is a Digitial India. There should be competitions, Quiz, Nukkad Nattak, drama, Examination Practice by asking MCQ questions on FM Radio channels.

The facility must be intended to utilize more, the information benefit of lay peoples in the country especially, agriculturist, small scale industrialists, students and common households with strictly following the cultural heritage of the Country. May be consider in allowing the frequency for this. Jay Hind.
