The country is well endowed with many metallic and non-metallic mineral resources.  India is a leading player in respect of many non fuel minerals including, iron ore, bauxite, dolomite, lime stone and mica.  Mining sector (non-fuel) currently accounts for approx 0.5% of GDP.  For accelerated economic growth on sustainable basis, this sector has to grow at a much faster pace to secure   a higher percentage in the GDP.

Scientific, sustainable and transparent mining practices require well trained manpower.  Skill development not only enhances productivity and safety at work place, but more importantly, it prepares the manpower to adapt to the new state of art technologies. Currently this sector employs around 0.2 Million workforce which is estimated to grow to 0.3 Million in next 10 years.

Skill development why should it be limited to private organisations only? Why shouldnt it be for govt organisations also? Why should a bureaucrat be promoted based on his experience or caste? why shouldnt a rule be made wherein officer be promoted based on his work and his accomplishments? This not only improves the efficiency it also reduces political interference in bureaucracy which inturn cleans up the establishment cos officers need not have to pay lakhs toget promotion which the tryto earn

As part of e-commerce and e-retail, some international goods have been available only in one site. But not available outside either in show rooms and other e-commerce sites. People get information, knowledge and benefit only when goods available across. Otherwise, it causes cheating the users and/or selling at high prices. For Example, Flipkart only provides few goods which are international goods. I would request Government to take necessary actions during the initial stages. Because the things

I appreciate Modiji's efforts to digitise India. In this regard I must inform you that right under your nose is NDMC. whenever I try to pay my property tax, or electricity bills online, the NDMC site does not accept the payment. The employees of NDMC are not happy that they are being sidelined by e payment. Kindly motivate the government staff to be forward looking, and be an instrument of progress, rather a hindrance.

Theoretical and practical knowledge combined together can be referred as skill. One has to have both of these in order to perform a piece of work. There are sufficient institutes in India in the Public sector whose basic mandate is to provide these skills, however the actual picture is a dismal one. With the formation of a new ministry on skill development, we now can hope something better.
