The country is well endowed with many metallic and non-metallic mineral resources.  India is a leading player in respect of many non fuel minerals including, iron ore, bauxite, dolomite, lime stone and mica.  Mining sector (non-fuel) currently accounts for approx 0.5% of GDP.  For accelerated economic growth on sustainable basis, this sector has to grow at a much faster pace to secure   a higher percentage in the GDP.

Scientific, sustainable and transparent mining practices require well trained manpower.  Skill development not only enhances productivity and safety at work place, but more importantly, it prepares the manpower to adapt to the new state of art technologies. Currently this sector employs around 0.2 Million workforce which is estimated to grow to 0.3 Million in next 10 years.

sir now a days increase in urbanization the agriculture land is converted into residential .this is very serious as we are reducing the agriculture land & product . hence the agriculture land must be saved.those who don't want to cultivate the land & wish to convert the land into non agriculture then this land is to be handover to those we wish to cultivate.this also encourage to develop residential area outside the city area in effect reduce the load on existing infrastructure

The class-room is the primary place for any skill to be devloped. But simultaneously in the curriculum frequent industrial visit should be necessary.During vaccations internship about the relevant topics should be made necessary. The syllabus of our technical education need to be updated as soon as possible because it is very old.The most important thing is that last semester should be kept for either internship or training so as to give the upcoming professionals an industrial exposure.

I think it has to be combination of both. If you look at the corporate world (especially manufacturing), there is a combination of class room and on the floor training. Either on their own will not provide the right skill set for executing on the task. Create a 2-3 week interactive curriculum (simulation and online courses) and then apprenticeship. This increases costs for training, but will provide better productivity and lower risks.
