Nothing in this section shall be constructed to derogate from the provisions of the Indian Explosives Act, 1884 (4 of 1884), or any rule or order made under that Act, and nothing in sub-sections (4) and (5) shall be constructed to apply to any goods entrusted for carriage by order or on behalf of the Government or to any goods which a soldier, sailor, airman or any other officer of the armed forces of the Union or a police officer or a member of the Territorial Army of the National cadet Corps may take with him on a railway in the course of his employment or duty as such.

However passengers tend to carry inflammable and dangerous materials like firecrackers, petroleum products, explosives etc., resulting in fire accidents and loss of human life.

Suggest solutions for reducing fire accidents due to carrying of inflammable materials by passengers.

Indian railways ko puri tarah se logo keep sath sari information sahi sahi deni chahiye taki logo ko koi dikkat ka samna na karna pare jaise ki train ki timing par jyada dhayan dena hoga aur railway staffo ko bhi koi sikayat ka mauka nahi dena chahiye . issue logo ko railway par pura trust hogs. Isme hamari sarkar ki bhi aham bhagidhari honi chahiye ki bhartiye railway ko dunia ka no.1 railway network banana chahiye . railway par sabse jyada dhayan mahilao aur saf-safai par dena chahiye.

One question for everyone posting in this portal. What time it would take for the Indian govt. to remove vendors and unwanted people from passenger trains and railway stations?

Let's not have mismatch in expectation and reality. If we did not have any holistic vision for India in the last 65+ years, let's accept the situation as it is... so that we will be able to think in more constructive manner..Key aspects to focus upon: NO LOSS OF LIFE, Corruption free system, Technology driven railways, ultra modern infrastructure upgrade (Let's seek expertise from other countries and move fast), Affordable Rail tourism, fixing of revenue leakage..leakage stopped is revenue save.

Vendors are who carry Stoves in trains to sell TEA etc. The scene on Station and in Train looks very chaotic. Security scenario is very poor. A train which carries thousands of passengers often have not security or very few staffs. Now IR wants money only and for this they have found Premium train concept which in reality is loss making idea and serves very few. On the name of safety curtains removed from 3A coaches. But onthe ground IR have no intention to address reason which retails to system

You are aware how much India primitive in using technology.Use some radar kind mechanism in engines which could give driver impression at least some more distance as could be seen from naked eyes as radars are there .

Dear Sir, I think we need to modernize our Trains, In Europe, trains travel @ 200 kms per hour, we need to introduce those trains and manufacture them locally as a part of Make in India effort. We do not need bullet trains but we need trains that can travel at 200 KMPH, this would reduce the travel time between lot of busy cities like Ahmedabad - Mumbai, Hyd - BLR etc., I think all new trains should be world class - we do not need those open drain trains, our country men deserve world class!!
