Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA) in collaboration with MyGov, invites you to channel your poetic creativity into crafting poems and verses for Swachh Bharat Mission that champion the principles of cleanliness, the theme of ‘Swabhav Swachhata, Sanksaar Swachhata’, community spirit, and highlight the impact of 10 years of the Mission. Your poem could be a powerful voice in spreading the message of the Mission across the country. Embrace this chance to use your poetic talent to foster change and inspire a cleaner, greener India!
Suggested Poem Themes:
1. ‘Swabhav Swachhata, Sanskaar Swachhata’ – focus on personal responsibility and also to encourage fellow citizens to take personal responsibility for cleanliness. Poems that inspire actions that lead to a cleaner living space and environment.
2. 10 years of Swachh Bharat Mission: Impact of the Mission on the cleanliness of your home, city, village and country.
3. Community Spirit: Celebrate the collective efforts of individuals and communities in driving cleanliness and hygiene. Highlight poems of collaboration and unity in making a difference.
4. Transformation Through Cleanliness: Explore how cleanliness and sanitation contribute to the transformation of environments and lives. Illustrate the journey from pollution to purity.
5. Nature and Environment: Reflect on the relationship between cleanliness and environmental health. Emphasize the importance of keeping nature clean for future generations.
6. Innovative Solutions: Highlight creative and innovative solutions to common cleanliness challenges. Celebrate successful initiatives and practical approaches that have made an impact.

Format:
1. Poems can be in any style or form—free verse, haiku, sonnet, etc.
2. Length: Up to 10 lines (approximately 100 words).
3. Language: Submissions can be in English or any Indian language.
Judging Criteria: Entries will be evaluated based on:
1. Creativity and Originality: Unique expression of themes and innovative use of language.
2. Relevance: Alignment with the goals and values of the Swachh Bharat Mission.
3. Impact: Ability to evoke emotion, inspire action, and convey a strong message.
4.Clarity: Clear and effective communication of ideas.
Additional Information:
1. By submitting your poem, you grant permission for its use in Swachh Bharat and Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA) promotional materials.
2. Ensure your poem adheres to the competition guidelines and does not include offensive or inappropriate content.
Prizes:
1. First Prize: ₹50,000
2. Second Prize: ₹30,000
3. Third Prize: ₹20,000
4. Special Mention: ₹10,000 each for 5 additional entries
Technical Parameters:
1. Poems must have a Title and must not exceed 500 to 750 words in length (excluding title). Exceeding the word limit would lead to disqualification.
2. The language of the composition should be in English and Hindi, and they should be typed in Unicode font.
3. Poems must be submitted in clear, readable and downloadable PDF format only.
