The GMC seeks valuable suggestions of the citizens to formulate the Smart City Gwalior. A successful vision would promote comprehensive development with a sustainable approach which would also reflect a city’s unique image.
The topic of the essay is "City of My Dreams" (English).
The topic of the essay is "मेरे सपनों का शहर” (Hindi).
1. Maximum word limit - 1000 words
2. All the essays must be submitted in .pdf (PDF) or .jpg (JPEG) format
3. Residents can submit their essay in – English or Hindi.
4. All the residents can participate in this open essay competition on https://mygov.in
5. The essay should address the below mentioned questions-
• What is your Vision for Gwalior as a Smart City? (Maximum 15 words)
• What are the prime area specific problems and what smart/innovative solutions you want to recommend? (150 words)
• Any global/best practices which can be implemented/replicated in Gwalior? (200 words)
• What smart/ innovative initiatives do you recommend to implement policies through behavioral changes?
Prizes
The top 3 essays will be awarded - (For Open Category)
• First Prize - Rs 25,000 (Ten Thousand Rupees only)
• Second Prize - Rs 15,000 (Seven Thousand Rupees only)
• Third Prize - Rs 10,000 (Five Thousand Rupees only)
The top 3 essays will be awarded - (For School Children)
• First Prize – Rs 5,000 (Seven Thousand Rupees only)
• Second Prize - Rs 3,000 (Five Thousand Rupees only)
• Third Prize - Rs 2,000 (Three Thousand Rupees only)
The competition shall be closed on 25th November, 2015.

Terms and Conditions
1. All the participants must clearly mention following details in their essay –
• Name
• Father/Mother name
• Address
• Age
• Contact number
2. The winner will be chosen on the basis of conciseness, originality of the content and ideas and implementable & bankable action points. The decision of Municipal Corporation Gwalior on selection of first 3 winners and consolation prize shall be treated as final. No copying will be allowed.
3. It will be assumed that whoever is participating in the essay has fully understood the general information and terms-conditions given hereby.
4. Municipal Corporation Gwalior reserves the right to cancel or amend all or any part of the competition and/or the terms/condition without notice.
