“MAA-Mother’s Absolute Affection'’ is a nationwide programme launched in an attempt to bring undiluted focus on promotion of breastfeeding and provision of counselling services for supporting breastfeeding through health systems. The programme has been named ‘MAA’ to signify the support a lactating mother requires from family members and at health facilities as well as her community to breastfeed successfully. The chief components of the MAA Programme are Community awareness generation, Strengthening inter personal communication through ASHA, Skilled support for breastfeeding at Delivery points in Public health facilities, and Monitoring and Award/recognition.

We want your participation in this programme and you can do by designing a POSTER.
The details are as following:
TOPIC
Main Theme: Importance and Promotion of Breast feeding
Sub-Themes: You have to prepare either or all of the above about healthy Breast feeding practices. You can choose any one, more than one or all of the themes from the following themes:
Initiation of Breast feeding within 1 hour of birth
Exclusive breast feeding for 6 months
Timely initiation of appropriate complementary feeding at 6 months along with continued breast feeding for 2 years
Breast milk, the first vaccine for the new born
Support from community towards breast feeding
Language: Hindi and/or English

A4 size in digital format
TIMELINE
1 month from the launch of campaign on MyGov.

One FIRST Prize – Rs.25000/-

Shades of blue (dark blue and turquoise) are used as the colour depicts trust,wisdom and interaction which are appropriate for using in a poster.
All the different aspects given in the brief are covered.All the major topics are shown using simple infographics.Hindi language is used as hindi to create mass impact.

The poster throws light on the importance of breastfeeding and cast shadow of benefits for mother and new born.
The oval geometry represents the milk drop which has nutrients and act as vaccine to fight all odds in the body of a new born.
The theme included in our poster are: Initiation of Breast feeding within 1 hour of birth and breast milk, the first vaccine for the new born.
I have designed this poster to create awareness towards the importance of breastfeeding.
