In para 32 of the Budget Speech of the Hon’ble Finance Minister an announcement was made that an Online Procurement System will be undertaken through the Food Corporation of India which will usher in transparency and convenience to the farmers through prior registration and monitoring of actual procurement.
Accordingly, FCI has developed an Online Procurement System for food grains which will allow farmers to register for procurement of their food grains, get appointment of time and date of their convenience to visit mandi to sell their produce sold by them as also get information with regard to quality parameters and weight of the produce sold by them as also get SMS alerts regarding payment credited into their account electronically. This system has been designed with an objective to bring in transparency and given convenience to the farmers as also to empower them to benefit from the system of procurement at the minimum support prices.
The key objectives of the Online Procurement module are:
-Creating Online platform for registration of farmers
-Increasing operational efficiency in procurement and thus bringing transparency
-Encourage farmers for direct sell to FCI and enhance the reach of MSP
-System based scheduling of appointment brings more convenience to farmers
-Instant acknowledgement to farmer that his produce is fully accepted
-Facilitate early payments to farmers
In order to implement this project, FCI proposes to organize a competition on MyGov platform to design the logo and tagline for Online Procurement Module.
The total prize money for wining logo and tagline will be Rs. 5000/-.
The last date for submission is midnight of 4th November, 2016.
The prize money of Rs.5000/- is to be given to a single participant only.

Tagline Till Hard Sell Easy
The tag is in line with the aim of the system to enable farmers to sell their food grains directly to FCI without any difficulty. Farmers can work (till) hard and sell online easily
Logo has a smart phone with a wheat stock to symbolise food grains. There is a click hand next to the rupee symbol for farmers to directly sell their grains online using their phones. symbols used such as cell phone, click button, rupee can be easily identified by farmers
This logo consists of a farmer and corps which directly connects and is easy to connect with the users{Farmers},. अन्न दाता सुखी भाव: Would be the tagline which greets the producer of food.
