First of all, in our schools and colleges we should make it compulsory to enroll them for NSS or NSC and we should educate them on how to handle unexpected situations. Even small drill for fire is not being done in most of the schools and colleges and create a students group for this in all villages, towns, districts and states finally nationwide. With that data and manpower we can use the youth in disaster mitigation and management.
A campaign of registration of volunteers for disaster mitigation and management be started, where the youth can register themselves. During the contingent situations those youths be called by sending sms on their phone. Some payment be prescribed for those youths.
In my opinion just like territorial army , a civilian disaster response team should be made comprising of volunteer from Central government employees, PSU employees , State govt employees and Private sector employees. This team should be awarded with some benefits to boost their morale. This team can change the over all senerio of disaster mitigation and management
Indian youth should be prepared for important roles right from their student time. NCC, NSS or scout & guide activities should be compulsory in all schools. Feelings towards society and to the nation should be filled in the minds of every youth from their childhood. At present NCC is only in few selected schools. Out of above activities, every student should have to chose atleast one activity in the school. performance in these activity should be given due weightage while judging the student.
Please include courses related to crisis/ disaster management in school, colleges, NCC, ITI etc
Hon. PM, I would request to all telecom companies to study on how they can broadcast an immanency message to one particular area or location. eg. on 26/11 the if we could send a common safety message to all effected citizens at CST or Taj simultaneously then we can develop communication with them which can ease the rescue operation.
1.Youth should make group so that at the time of diaster they can help the people.
2.provide basic needs to diaster area i.e cloth, clean water, take them to hospital for treatement, food etc.
3.Rescue the people first and take them to a save area.
4.Also provide some time to make their home which is destructed by diaster.
Dear Pm, Kindly distribute the fresh water resouces to enhance irrigation, map the Indian topography, flooding can be avoided, also dry areas can be provided with water throughout, plant millions of trees every year. Engage the youth in special pro-active programmes.
