Vadodara has been selected in the list of 100 Smart cities under the Smart City Mission of Ministry of Urban Development (MoUD), Government of India launched in June 2015, and is gaining momentum in various parameters to get shortlisted in the final round of Smart City Challenge where 20 cities would be selected in the first year.

The vibrant and enlightened citizens of Vadodara are requested by Municipal Corporation of Vadodara to post their suggestions for enhancement and improvement of municipal and city’s basic infrastructure and amenities so as to improve the quality of life of its citizen and share their opinion and area of improvement to make “Vadodara – a Smart City”.

The citizens and various stakeholders of Vadodara is its biggest strength. Let’s participate to make this mission inclusive and meaningful for every common man, every citizen and transform this vision of smart city into realty.

Respected Modi-Ji, I have got a suggestion to reduce the Air pollution. like fire Brigade police Ambulance we should fix one specific number for pollution by vehicles. when any vehicle emitting black fumes is noticed any citizen can call on that specific number. the vehicle should be impounded and must sent to the workshop of the respective manufacturer of the vehicle. the cost of the servicing has to be borne by owner of the vehicle.if complaint is wrong the complainer has to be fined

At least make roads free from cow and buffalo. Daily many people are getting injured because of this. Put strict clauses into tenders regarding road development quality. Wall to wall road implementation makes city dust free at some level.

[1]We have lot of heritage places in Vadodara. All are to be decorated and developed as Tourism places.Best Locations are Nyay Mandir, Palace,Gates,Market, MSU etc.We can do this by restructuring/beautification of nearby places like Sayaji Garden, Sur Sagar Lake, arranging light Show etc. [2]We have to concentrate towers GO GREEN and adopting NO Poly Ethylene Bags.

Eco friendly and low air pollution in smart city, VMSS should create a bicycle track in city aria like Char Darvaja, Nyaymandir aria. No car and privet vehicles only use public transports only.

Proper waste management system is must required in city.Water harvesting system will be implemented in all newly build up house , so that shortage of water during Summer Time can be reduced.Also Create new Artificial Lakes so that Drinking water problem will be reduced in Summer.Also Main Lakes of city must be clean Every month , because now a days lakes are polluted very much.

[1]In the morning, near bird circle, there is too much tempo parking observed. This is to be restricted.[2] Traffic police have to take strict action on wrong side driving,traffic signal violation etc. At present it is observed that traffic police near traffic signal are standing just for his presence.[3]Wrong parking of four wheeler must be fined/punished.At present strict action is observed on only two wheeler.

First of all Footpath is use for only walk for People, all Food stall on Footpath will be removed so that people will walk easily.Also Many times once road completed in city but after repairing work like under ground cabeling, Road Situation is bad.Also out side area of Central Bus Station is blocked by Autos , So that peoples are facing Problem of walking near Central Bus station.

City doesn't have proper facility for mass transportation.Suggestions are as follows: Smart pick up point with intelligent ticket issuing system could be implemented.Under this system citizens can obtain ticket for any place before boarding in bus. At same time there should be proper frequency of buses with automatic door with closing system and GPS system, at some minute interval on various routes of city. This require network of smart pick up points throughout city and near by area.
