The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has been mandated by the TRAI Act, 1997 to regulate the tariffs offered by the Telecom Service Providers for its various services. Despite the amendments made to the TTO and other regulations issued by TRAI to factor in various market developments, a need has been felt to undertake a comprehensive review of the TTO framework, albeit in a phased manner, starting with a discussion on the core regulatory principles enshrined in the TTO, Directions and Advisories issued by TRAI on various aspects of the tariff framework from time to time.

In order to identify and address the various emergent issues and challenges, inter-alia, related to regulatory principles of tariff assessment e.g. transparency, promotional offers, disclosures and non discrimination, adherence to the principle of non-predatory pricing, meaning of predatory pricing, relevant market, assessment of dominant position etc., Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has released Consultation Paper on ‘Regulatory Principles of Tariff Assessment’ on 17th February, 2017 to solicit comments from the stakeholders.

The objective of this Consultation Paper (CP) is to bring about greater clarity in interpretation of various regulatory principles set out in the TTO in consonance with the best global practices.

Click here to read the consultation paper. The written comments on the issues raised in the consultation paper are invited from the stakeholders by 17th March, 2017.

Any no holder might be given the no details to their bank a/c, investments like mf , fd, shares, lic,gl, facebook(any mis crime police can"t track the person), whatsapp , would recieving their related messages to the no of the previous owner would be going to presnt owner must giving room for crime and inconvenience to both of them. getting plan approval is big task everywhere here in tamilnadu. While getting land approval itself default construction allowed by leaving common area on surrounded the plots would easier the construction industry. revenue part can be received in the land apporval itself with single window drive for all E.B, Water, Drainage and so on . Iclusive of all such taxes should be approved on the land layout approvel itself. so individuals will not suffer.

The issue of call drop and data network availability needs to be addressed significantly and unambiguously. In the era of IoT, it is necessary to bring in security liability of service providers.

In respect to TRAI Tarriff issues, I want to suggest that, the tarriff of telecom services should be competitive , the service provider should not fixed or specified rate above the specified limit fixed by the TRAI, but , any service provider can keep rate below the limit fixed by TRAI, if the competition between various companies in respect to services and rate of telecom services, it will be benefit for the general public, to get the facilities of telecom at lowest rate, best wishes
