Given that cleanliness of the public places is left to Cities (Municipal Corporations) /Towns (Municipalities) /Villages (Panchayat), and unless a cohesive Proof-of-Concept (PoC) is developed, which is self-sustainable, you will not see any improvement on the ground. This is where i call upon NITI Aayog to act like a consultant, by picking a City /Town /Village and show how it can be kept clean, and how it can be made sustainable. Once you have a working PoC, you will see more participants.

WE NEED TO HAVE A SEPARATE SANITATION DEPARTMENT LIKE OTHER COUNTRIES IN ALL STATES TO FOCUS ON THIS SUBJECT, ESPECIALLY FOR RURAL AREAS. AGENCIES WITH MULTIPLE SCHEMES/PROGRAMMES WITH HIGHER FINANCIAL INVOLVEMENT IS PROBABLY DIVERTING THEIR FOCUS. POOR SANITATION IS THE ROOT CAUSE OF MOST OF THE DISEASES AND POVERTY.. IF WE ADDRESS THIS, 60 % OF HEALTH PROBLEM AND POVERTY WILL REDUCE BY ITSELF AND WOULD BE ABLE TO ACHIEVE SWACHH BHARAT FASTER.

aisa kyon nahi hai- rural/urban/semi urban areas mein jo sare dukan hain (kisi bhi tarah ka), usme dustbin rakhna mandatory kyon nehi hai. agar ye mandatory ho gaya aur iski surveillance ke jimedari koi govt dept./officer ko di jaye ( jo har hafte hona chahiye), to mein sochta hun ki tabhi Swachh Bharat Mission " Kamiyab ho Sakta hai.

Why shouldn't robots be used by municipal corporation for dealing with garbage activities like picking-up, dumping, carrying and categorizing the garbage. It feels injustice to see few people to carry out such activities which no one would ever like to do.

Dear Sir india ko clean karne k liye hm city me cctv camra laga sakte hai. jo bhi person gandgi failaye uspar 200 rs. jurmana ya 2 din ki jail. ek alag se dept. banaya jaye to is cctv footage ko dekhega jo b person gandgi failaye us par strict action liya jaye. commitee ki 2 vans ko city me ghumaya jaye or ye annaunce kiya jaye k jo b person gandgi failaye us per 200 ka jurmana ya 2 din ki jail. is faisle se hmara jo smart city bnane ka dream hai uski taraf first step hoga.

Please talk with corporates to reduce the number of plastic wastes they produce while marketing their products to the customers. For example many small retail items to be sold in petty shops come in plastic container and hanged through plastic outer cover, we are doubling the usage of plastic just to increase marketing visibilty. Many biscuits comes with plastic trays inside plastic wrappings we can dispose with the plates atleast.
