As a run up to the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, citizens will be encouraged to take up creative activities each month. Every month a theme would be taken up until October 2, 2020 from October 2, 2018 onwards. Mahatma Gandhi in his seminal book, Constructive Programme Its Meaning and Place had talked about 18 constructive programmes. He had stressed that more programmes could be added as time passed. The 18 constructive programmes included: Communal Unity; Removal of Untouchability; Prohibition; Khadi; Village Industries; Village Sanitation ; Nai Talim or Basic Education; Adult Education; Women; Knowledge of Health and Hygiene; Provincial languages; National Language; Economic Equality; Kisans; Labour; Adivasis; Lepers ; Students.

By involving the above 18 themes in 18 months, six more months would be remaining.

Ideas are invited from the citizens on six more themes to be taken in six months. The ideas should be relevant for our contemporary society.

Those who submit the best themes could be given certificates

Last date of submission is 15th June, 2018, 05:00PM

Bapu always wants clean and healthy environment, now swatch barat abhiyan is working fine but we have a long way to go to keep the earth safe from global warming we need to focus on huge plantation programme in colonies, besides roades, around ponds and Rivers, open spaces, near railway tracks etc. we should celebrate this birthday of Bapu by launching a country level plantation programme just like swatch bharat abhiyan and the program should be on ground level

Efforts for creatinging world citizens those who would be prepared to spread the message of Indian values, culture and traditions across the world and at international and regional forums such as UN, UNESCO, SAARC etc..Thoso would be the ambassadors of India at the world and international stage and thus bring the world community closer to the Indian social, cultural and spiritual philosophy and thus India can lead the world to be a safer and beautiful place to live in

my request to the prime minister is that to change the thinking of the youth, which is working on the direct sell of the company, the government will release their list and turn the youth to link with the deverct cell vision to change the thinking of the young. understand every young negative, and this is a detour cell.;

I am not into details of plans around Solar energy production. However it is apparentlt not gathering steam probably dir to lack of land resources. Not sure if there is lack of investment. not sire of ot was considered. Bit solar panels can be installed and the length and breadth of roads in India. Best part is this will provide shade to 2 wheelers and pedestrians. I believe this will not be a cost to Govt. Land should not be a problem too.
