Addressing his fellow Indians from the Red Fort on 15th August 2014 the Prime Minister called for replacing the Planning Commission with another Institution that is in sync with the modern times and most importantly in sync with the aspirations of 21st century India. The Prime Minister also emphasized on the important role the states have to play in taking the nation forward.

This forum invites your innovative ideas on what shape will this proposed institution take in terms of structure, composition and area of functioning. Another area of focus that requires your inputs is how this proposed institution can enhance Centre-State coordination and thus become a true celebration of India’s Federal Structure.

Planning commission be mandated with conceptualization (study emerging-future trends in ideas and resource use within and across globe, consultancy (have capacity for national and international integration-synergy across interest spectrum) and contingency (prepare action plans to secure interest) charter to serve national interest. Commission to make forecast based on conceptualization, plan intermediate-end objectives and conduct evaluation to correct and adjust.

IT should be depend on the "development of country by development of states". Development of country shouldnot be hamprd by different govt. on state & center. It should fulfil criteria of "SanghRajya Vikas Aayog" or "National State development Council".

what has the planning commission done since all these years since its formation? other than providing syllabus for economics students for exams? or maybe provide comfortable confirmed jobs to a select few?All 5 years plans have been a good source of siphoning off funds to politicians in charge of it

5 year plans should be removed and instead the new planning commission should focus on individual projects. for e.g. river interlinking project, railways up gradation etc.

Planning has been done for all these years. Implementation and corruption problems needs to be addressed immediately. Systemic failures have to be identified and acted upon. Middlemen have to be thrown out because that is where corruption crepes in. Also in this age of information technology we should be able to weed away middlemen and reach beneficiaries straight away. Work should be ensured and people should not be enticed to freebies and in return vote for certain political party.

RASHTRIYA VIKAS PARISHAD (RSVP) should be placed directly under PM & CMs of all states will be its member. RSVP will strive at removing disparity among states &will focus on development of less developed states on priority basis. It will act as a Task Force push & monitor the progress of all developmental activities etc. etc. It will also decide the Plan Size of states according to needs subsequent performance.

Sir we need a institution which devises ways and means for modern fluid economy rather then plan for 5 years who's benificiary are few individuals. It need to vizualize future and change policy according to latest development and innovation affecting economy and industry on a proactive and anticipatory basis. As in modern world economies are going to fight rather then armies. We need a institution which helps us win these wars or we will face servitude again.

Sir kindly sell planning commission to a scrap dealer as early as possible. It makes policy based on questionable inputs which dont match ground reality. They make delusional statements like its possible to have 3 square meals a day in Rs.10/-.We need a institution which can collaborate ground reality and verify facts and figures independently apart from industry and government and analyse international trends and see what SME and all face on ground and provide inputs to government accordingly.

There should be separate government for Haryana and Punjab. The condition of Haryana is very poor. The condition of Faridabad is ridiculous. No one to look into it. Please create a special division of government for Haryana. Like in the case of Maharashtra
