Golden quadrilateral should get four lane connectivity to all major ports.Mangalore,karwar,Goa,Cochin,tuticorun. This can improve traffic and time. Mangalore,Bangalore, chennai three lane railway line for goods movement. A rake should be capable of travelling in 16 hours including loading and unloading coast to coast. This can reduce traffic on roads and are comparable with road movement of cargo.Privatization of goods train can be benefitial by providing infrastructure.

country needs transmitter on goods vehicles with info on type of vehicle registration etc . To recognise vehicles from satallites to study vehicle movement of entire country or tracking bridges over highways. This can give traffic density of goods on highways. Most vehicles have micro processor based fuel system could be linked to transmitter which can give fair idea of loading and fuel consumption. When we can make our own satallites this can give better understanding.

National logistics should be based on energy or fuel reqd basis.Goods train cargo movement is cheaper. The bottle neck is loading & unloading time .How to mechanise to save time is important. electric traction saves energy as it will go into generation mode on gradients hence efficient. Efficent Port connectivity with goods train will be imp factor. Dedicated goods corridors is a must . Internal waterways is also efficient point to point.Key issue is to reduce petroleum products.

sir, I am an employee of India Post & can easily understand this issue. 1st of all, inspite of having the largest logistic network in India,India post is finding it difficult to compete with these private courier firms due to it's weakness :- 1.Infrastructure (building, electricity and links) of sub offices r not upto the mark. 2.There is no performance based salary or increment or inventives which would encourage employee to work harder & sincerely. 3. Poor administration of India Post
