The Chandigarh Pollution Control Committee (CPCC), U.T, Chandigarh has taken serious cognizance of the increasing pollution levels in the airs of the city. Pollution occurs in many forms including Air, Water, Soil & Noise pollution.

The CPCC has expressed serious concern over the contamination of the overall environment as the sources of pollution don't simply have a negative impact on the natural world, but also have a measurable effect on the health of human beings also.

In this direction, the Chandigarh Pollution Control Committee has decided to engage the citizens of the city for their invaluable suggestions/ideas/opinions/practical solutions to put a check on increasing levels of all types of pollution in Chandigarh.

The CPCC hereby appeals to the city residents to participate in huge number in order to equip the CPCC with more and more innovative and practical solutions/ideas (which are implementable) to curb the problems arising out of different kind of pollution.

Respected sir idea is that a only particular amount of fuel should be provided to a particular family per month. This will decrease use of private vehicle and pollution will decrease as public transport gas CNG fuel. For keeping the records of use of fuel used by a family a organisation should be established. This will also decrease unemployment as running organisation will require people.                    THANK YOU FOR READIND

RESPECTED SIR, FOLLOWINGS THINGS CAN CONTROL POLLUTION: 1) PLANT FRUIT TREES AT A DISTANCE OF 15' ALONG THE ROADS SIDE, LEFT AND RIGHT, MAKE IT OFFENCIVE CRIME FOR CUTTING THE TREES BY JAIL TERM, WHICH CAN BE AVOIDED IF THE OFFENDER RAISES ANOTHER TREE IN ITS PLACE WITHIN THE GIVEN TIME. 2) DIG 9" BORE HOLE, 20' DEPTH, IN THE GUTTERS, AT EVERY 15 FEET AND CLOSE THE HOLE LIKE RAIN WATER HARVESTING TECHNOLOGY. IT WILL RECHARGE THE GROUND WATER TABLE/ AND WILL PROVIDE WATER FOR TREES.

Sir, For controlling the pollution level in chandigarh all the autos and buses running on diesal and petrol must be converted into CNG And LPG. Also the government should make policies according to which bicycles must be given on hire to the tourists and local residents. This will improve city transport and provide cheapest mode of transport and hence will enhance city tourism.

Whatever be a motor vehicle, pollution is bound to happen. Now we have to make it mandatory for the manufacturers to add a device/mechanism which cleans up the air once the vehicle starts.

Our country is a Sun rich country so we should focus more on Solar energy and research Institute should be asked to do Solar related research. Designing dye sensitised solar cell, photovoltaic Solar cell. For this there should be collaboration between the basic science and power engineering groups. No doubt nothing is better than planting more trees to curb the green house gas. But here again researcher can play a vital role by converting the green house gas to fuels such as methanol, ethanol fo

RESPECTED SIR, MY VIEW IS SIMPLE SIR .ELIMINATION OF GREENHOUSE GASES WHICH CAUSES POLLUTION,THROUGH PLANTING TREES.AND MOST IMPORTANT THING IS THAT PROMOTING AND ADOPTING SOLAR ENERGY THROUGH A WIDE RANGE.POLLUTION CONTROL MEASURES IN TRAFFIC SHOULD BE STRICTLY FOLLOWED.USE GAS FOR TRANSPORTATION INSTEAD OF USING PETROL BECAUSE THE MAIN CAUSE OF POLLUTION IS THROUGH VEHICLES.RENEWABLE ENERGY SOURCES SHOULD BE IMPLEMENTED.AND FINALLY MY MOTTO IS TO GO GREEN IN ORDER TO BUILD INDIA GREEN..

Whatever be a motor vehicle, pollution is bound to happen. Now we have to make it mandatory for the manufacturers to add a device/mechanism which cleans up the air once the vehicle starts. Don't we clean around after we ate? It is the vehicle user's responsibility to spend a few extra bucks to clean up the air that he polluted. If such device/mechanism is fitted as part of the vehicle(not optional, make it mandatory for the vehicle to move even), then we can dream of breathing cleaner air.
