One of the major reason for pollution is burning of the garbage. Burning of the garbage is much more dangerous when the garbage consists of plastics and other toxic wastes. One way to reduce the plastics that is burnt is to implenment Pfand system in India. Please go through this link for the documentation.

The litter caused due to package material is the most troublesome menace that we are presently facing in this modern era which includes plastic wrappers for food packaging, plastic bottles, glass bottles etc. I was not surprised to witness the amount of garbage produced solely due to these products but was surely astonished to learn that a great country like ours does not have ‘Container Deposit Legislation’(CDL).

Bring awareness among people, especially in students as
One person- one tree- one year.
Make industry rules strict such as to plant atleast 2000 trees every year.

Sir, i belong to Chandigarh and am an architect. A very easy solution to tackle air pollution utilising the existing infrastructure is to simple connect water sprinklers mounted on all trees of our V1,V2,V3 roads through water pipes with the water supply sytems underneath our roads. At regular intervals(Morning and night) during non peak hours, light mist can be generated through sprinklers on these trees which will immediately capture all pollutants and drain them through our storm water system
