Hi..
The Indian government wants to roll out 'smart cities' but the planning and the doing will take many years. I have a suggestion for temporary measure to get electricity upgraded to smart,to as many people as possible (putting villages on the grid). Cyan Technology of Cambridge,UK and their Indian sub do a conversion of existing poles,
lines, meters to SMART,reducing outages. Engaged by TATA POWER & ENZEN already they provide a low priced measure for a few years or possibly permanent.

The highways connecting major cities should be improvised as this could lead to better transportation of goods and it has potential of becoming a great dry port as it is centrally located. Also along with the state governments they should come up with more open spaces, parks , fountains and try to increase tourism.
