A smart city (also smarter city) uses digital technologies or information and communication technologies (ICT) to enhance quality and performance of urban services, to reduce costs and resource consumption, and to engage more effectively and actively with its citizens. Sectors that have been developing smart city technology include government services, transport and traffic management, energy, health care, water and waste.

To Mangalore City Corporation, I have made a brief report on household waste segregation and Lamp recycling. Whatever I have mentioned it is just tip of the iceberg, the proposals and suggestion which I have for Mangalore city if applied without any doubt with a span of two years Mangalore Municipality can be the best in the country under solid waste management. Of course to be best lot of factors are there which I would like to discuss in person as this is not the platform for it.Thank you.

[refer my post below first :)] now, watering them is a task isn't it?
So fix a pipe accross these plants on the footpath or whichever easy way, make a hole or two on the pipe for each plant and there you go! You don't have to hire people for watering each plant. Someone has to monitor the watering system. #SmartCity #Mangaluru #MyGov

Make Mangalore more greener. Due to extreme heat, now it's really hard to walk on the footpath or anywhere else without an umbrella.
Make a little space every one meter on the footpath to plant a tree that can grow big and provide shelter for people who walk on the pavement everyday.
This in a way can encourage people to walk rather than taking auto rickshaws for nearby places. I see lot of people doing this during summer.
