The Pasighat Municipal Council (PMC) is pleased to inform you that our City has been selected through a competitive process for Smart City Mission under the Ministry of Urban Development (MoUD). In the next phase, our city has to compete with others to make it to the top 20 to be taken up for first round of funding, for year 2015-16.

Pasighat is now required to formulate a vision, mission and a proposal in consultation with its citizens and other stakeholders. Your City needs you!! So, PMC urges the citizens of Pasighat to share their opinions and ideas to make our “Pasighat- a Credible Smart City”. Your views are valuable and can make a difference to our city!!

Your valuable suggestions can bring significant transformation to your city and improve the life of citizens.

Please share your ideas to make Pasighat – a credible Smart City.

The last date to submit your suggestions / comments is 10th December, 2015.

It should have underground cabling be it in power,internet,cable TV ,fib re optic or any other utility cables or wires. Such an under ground cabling is another smart idea or dream for a city as it reduces thefts and pilferage and at the same time improves the aesthetics of the city. Also they are relatively easy to maintain and remain less vulnerable during strong winds and inclement weather.

A Smart city may therefore be more prepared to repond to challanges than one with a simple transactional relationship with its citizens

There should be no overcharging wires or cables across the streets ,buildings, residential areas which are passing a threat to the residents due to untoward happenings such as electric short circuit, lightening strikes etc.

Information and communication technologies (ICT) to enhance quality and performance of urban service. to reduce costs and resource consumption, and to engage more effectively and actively with its citizens sectors that have been developing Smart City technology include government services

* Areas without sewer network may be provided with Bio-digesters for tackling bio-degradable waste. * Manage all type of Solid Waste separately without co-mingling for efficient reuse / recycling

Smart city will be a people friendly city hospital school road transport will be available Eco-system will also re balanced under the objective of the Smart City with progress of Smart city people of Pasighat will not have to defend on other nearby towns of every requirement will be available at Pasighat itself.

To be a better smart city. Firstly we have to make better transport facilities and the roads and the traffic system and many rules to be followed strictly and the city should be clean. I know that it is hard to keep the city clean but my suggestion to keep city clean is to make dustbins in the maximum past of the city and there should be a rile that if anybody have caught throwing garbage’s it should be fined and all the people should through garbage’s to dustbin.

There will be rapid development in the basic amenities of life. There will be rapid development in the basic infrastructure growth means of communication will be also fast and available.
