We’re in a period of unprecedented urban development in which we can take part and make real change, as citizens and through creating more connected and integrated services for everyone to use. Propelled by integration of services, better IT and communications, and a need to ensure best use of resources, now more than ever we are seeing true urban interdependency where integrated care services including health, social, housing, age care etc, focus on improving quality of life.

The term "smart cities" is a bit ambiguous. Some people choose a narrow definition—i.e. cities that use information and communication technologies to deliver services to their citizens. I prefer a broader definition: Smart cities use information and communication technologies (ICT) to be more intelligent and efficient in the use of resources, resulting in cost and energy savings, improved service delivery and quality of life, and reduced environmental footprint—all supporting innovation.

Pasighat being the oldest city of Arunachal Pradesh has the oldest and a premium college Jawaharlal Nehru College. Establish in 1964 and proposed for upgradation to Arunachal University. I wish it has some more departments like BSC Computer Science), Socilogy, Environmental Studies and BBA.
