The Pasighat Municipal Council (PMC) is pleased to inform you that our City has been selected through a competitive process for Smart City Mission under the Ministry of Urban Development (MoUD). In the next phase, our city has to compete with others to make it to the top 20 to be taken up for first round of funding, for year 2015-16.

Pasighat is now required to formulate a vision, mission and a proposal in consultation with its citizens and other stakeholders. Your City needs you!! So, PMC urges the citizens of Pasighat to share their opinions and ideas to make our “Pasighat- a Credible Smart City”. Your views are valuable and can make a difference to our city!!

Your valuable suggestions can bring significant transformation to your city and improve the life of citizens.

Please share your ideas to make Pasighat – a credible Smart City.

Pasighat should be made education hub in this smart city project.Already Pasighat has many colleges.. Horticulture & Forestry , JNcollege , polytecnique college , BED colleges & Doying Gumin private college.AIIMS should also be established in Pasighat.As Pasighat is located centrally in Arunachal , students from different districts can get quality education here.Even students from neighbouring state of Assam will be benefitted.

To meet the growing demand for meat for the developing smart city Pasighat a abbotair should be constructed in the outskirts of the city where animals to be slaughtered for meat purpose will be held//quarentined ,done antimortom examination , slaughtered in a humane method , dressed , packaged stored in cold storage & sold in the market or exported outside the state.This will aid in health & hygiene & also provide employment & earn revenue for the city.

For Pasighat to become a Smart City there should be surplus electricity which is possible only through hydro-power generation in this part of our country. Hence, Dam construction should be given top priority.

As Pasighat will develop as smart city the food requirement for it's citizens will also increase.To meet it's protein requirement in the form of meat,milk & egg the animal husbandry sector should, also be improved.More funds should be made available to the existing District dairy farm , district poultry farm of VTI Pasighat & to the District piggery farm at 7mile.more funds should be provided for feed & fodder development also.Healthier citizens will be a better human resource.

the approach and objective of the smart city-pasighat shall be to provide core infrastructure and give a decent quality of life to its citizens,a clean and sustainable environment and application of 'smart' solutions.

I wish that Pasighat town should be consider for selection in first 20 list in respect of the component like Railway line, airways, Regular electricity supply, Medical facilities, wi-fi connectivity, water treatment plant for safe & Pure water, well education institution, more branched of SBI with ATM facilities for 24 hours.
