The Pasighat Municipal Council (PMC) is pleased to inform you that our City has been selected through a competitive process for Smart City Mission under the Ministry of Urban Development (MoUD). In the next phase, our city has to compete with others to make it to the top 20 to be taken up for first round of funding, for year 2015-16.

Pasighat is now required to formulate a vision, mission and a proposal in consultation with its citizens and other stakeholders. Your City needs you!! So, PMC urges the citizens of Pasighat to share their opinions and ideas to make our “Pasighat- a Credible Smart City”. Your views are valuable and can make a difference to our city!!

Your valuable suggestions can bring significant transformation to your city and improve the life of citizens.

Please share your ideas to make Pasighat – a credible Smart City.

Sunbath : (Continue from last post....) In addition to park all along the river, the ropeway, water sporting and motorboats, some spots with sand bed especially in right bank are suitable for sunbath – famous in Sea beaches in other place. We can also develop it. Off course, sunbath is seasonal but will attract tourist especially in winter.

Ropeway: (Continued from last post...) In between left and right bank preferably near Bodak village, a ropeway is to be set up. Natural beauty and landscape of that spot itself is enthralling which will boost tourist attraction. Below the ropeway, on the river will be motorboat – a perfect scene for the photographer. People will mistake the photos for the Switzerland. Why not we submit a proposal for it now.

For smart city Pasighat Sanitation and smart waste management:-Modern, clean toilets, and a system for segregation and recycling of waste. Open green areas, pedestrian and cycling tracks:-Gardens and theme parks for recreation and space for pedestrians and cyclists. City app:-A comprehensive city guide app for citizens as well as tourists.

Continued from last post.......... A road should be constructed all along the river leaving 200m or so from the bank. Road should be connected from elbow turning of GTC to well beyond reserve forest say a 5 km stretch on left bank. In right bank, park should be from Bodak to D E wild life Sanctuary. In between, power boat will be used to attract tourist. There is also every possibility of water sports.

सबसे पहले Pasighat की  सडक को Corruption free सही तरिके से बनाने की जरुरी है । सडकों के उच्च गुणवत्त् के साथ निर्माण होने चाहिए ताकि वह सालो साल चल सके ।

After proper embankment, whole stretch of Siang river bank is to be developed and beautified with avenue plantation and establishment of recreational Park with minimum facilities. No any structure should be allowed to erect up to certain distance, say 200m from bank even on private land if any; nor should any one be allowed to encroach. It will become longest park on this earth if developed on both side of the river- a good chance to be recorded in Guinness book of world record.

SMART CITY 1. There should be continuous supply of electricity. 2. All the places and the roads should be maintained clean and dust-free. 3. There should not be any stray dogs and beggars. 4. Nobody should be allowed to have any celebrations, meetings or processions on roads. 5. Loudspeakers, dhol and tasa, DJ and any other musical instruments should not be allowed to be played at public places. They should be allowed to be played at private places if noise does not go out.

Already Pasighat is on the Railway Networks and will become of the bussiness class city of North Eastern state. Through Pasighat railway will connect Roing, Tezu, Chowkham, Namsai and entire Eastern Aruncahl and Tinsukia in Assam. Pasighat will also stand as Tri-Junction for Western, Upper and Eastern Arunachal in future. The airport at Pasighat which will be commissioned/ operationalised within 2016 will also add another feather to its cap.

The entire strech of Mighty Siang River which follows near Pasighat town can be developed to a toursit attractition place by developing the embankment in a planned way right from Rengging to Daying Ering Memorial Wildlife sanctuary which if developed may surpass world's best tourist cities. The embankment plan all along the river side will also enhence the green revolution. Presently D.E.Memorial Wild life Sanctuary near Pasighat is one of the best upcoming sanctuary of N.E.states.
