Coimbatore needs a MRTS like Chennai. That would ease the congestion on the already choked roads

Coimbatore is in need of mass transit system for better transportation service. Need to rejenuvate the lakes in and around the city to promote eco friendly environment and tourism. Ring road for better connectivity of vehicles to other cities and an international aircraft in airport for distant connection of different countries. Providing more public area pavement for walk friendly environment throughout the city. Improve parks and gardens for better public hangouts. Proper infrastructure.

Launch an app like bostons Citizens Connect. It is a mobile application that empowers residents to be the City’s eyes and ears, engaging them in the process of maintaining their own city neighborhoods. Residents report public issues directly from their smart phones into the City’s work order management system so that it gets immediately to the right person in City Hall to fix the problem.
They can post photos of garbage, streetlights, traffic, etc for action by council

A city is not smart until it manages its waste well. Waste management process should be decentralised and locality based, quick and real time. It is surprising to note that 70% of waste is organic in nature & can be reprocessed before it becomes waste or, thereafter, can be recycled in a sustainable manner. We have invented a Green Waste Reprocessor machine which re‐process all green reject and converts it into valuable by‐products. More details can be found on www.cleanindiatech.com #MyGov

Use of a carpool or a vanpool to encourage people to travel together. An App that works in both Android and IPhone, that basically provides the departure and arrival time at the nearest stops.

As many citizens have voiced, a single portal to manage the public works project would be very useful.
