Coimbatore plays a major role in education of Tamilnadu. It has some of the best colleges but when it comes to career opportunities it is not as good as other major cities like Chennai ,Bangalore etc. For more opportunities to be created in Coimbatore it has to become a smart city but not at the expense of destroying its natural beauty.

We can improve our transport and other facilities at any time, but we need to plant and grow up more number of trees. Since Huge number of trees were removed due to roads extension in recent days.
We need to implement few strict rules for traffic, parking violations and for cleanliness. Some officers need to roam all over the city and put fine for the above violations
Need to develop few websites for Bus routes and other government services

My Suggestions to build Coimbatore as a Smart City.
1. Improvement on Mass transport systems within city - Bus, Local Trains and addition of Metro, Mono rail to decongest traffic. This will reduce the no. of cars plying with a single or two people.
2. Improvement / widening of Main roads like Sathy Road, Pollachi Road, Trichy Road inline with the present Avinashi Road to keep the traffic moving and not stagnant.

Coimbatore - All government & private sectors should move towards Digital, paperless & people should no more stand in queues or wait for months & years. Internet & mobile are very handy and accomodative even for people at all levels. Think Digital & move towards Digital
