The country is well endowed with many metallic and non-metallic mineral resources.  India is a leading player in respect of many non fuel minerals including, iron ore, bauxite, dolomite, lime stone and mica.  Mining sector (non-fuel) currently accounts for approx 0.5% of GDP.  For accelerated economic growth on sustainable basis, this sector has to grow at a much faster pace to secure   a higher percentage in the GDP.

Scientific, sustainable and transparent mining practices require well trained manpower.  Skill development not only enhances productivity and safety at work place, but more importantly, it prepares the manpower to adapt to the new state of art technologies. Currently this sector employs around 0.2 Million workforce which is estimated to grow to 0.3 Million in next 10 years.

Lets get rid of the western based education system forced on us as they themselves emulated/following the ancient system of education practised by Indian culture. Our eduction system tuned us to serve others( being subservient to others) by the colonial system. That's why service sector/IT is growing & not may people are able to take up value creation entrepreneurial risks. We cant leverage beyond certain point in the service sector for value creation in the long run.

Skill can be acquired thru vocational based education coupled with practical /technical/functional/soft skills training to sustain the knowledge base within the system/country. People also should come forward with passion/ideation/execution skills to make this country leading /guiding the world in all fronts. But all these can be achieved only thru value/vocational based education system.

I strongly recommend the mining sector should under control of government & all development program under direct supervision of HRD & Environment ministry. Every time Private sector manipulate the opportunity for personal prospective to explore the maximum profitability. This sector are dangerous for life & impact the environment also. In this sector Private player need very strong expertise & only such kind of player need to allow for business.

All skill development, training and education work ought to be undertaken by government as private sector do only lip service, there would be many certificate distributing shops in the name skill development courses run by ex-employees lacking knowledge imparting skills themselves: since we know that resources thus produced are fungible, meaning having potential to migrate to different firms, also, private sector firms operating mines will have little incentive and motive to serve the cause.

The Education system should be such that subjects like Logical reasoning and general knowledge should be included from the primary school and also one subject like current affairs so that students become aware about current affairs

As per norms there must be a Teacher Member in an HMC.But,Dullabcherra MPHC under Ramkrishnanagar BPHC in Karimganj District,Assam has no Teacher Member.Although, there is a retired teacher in the HMC of Dullabcherra MPHC.But,the existing Deptt. law does not say about any retired Teacher. The law only says about an existing Teacher. So,if the said HMC is unconstitutional then a proper inquiry may kindly be held into this said matter & action may kindly be taken against all concerned officials.

Skill development can be carried out by the private sector with regulating done by the government sector.. the private sector has better access to New innovations and technology.. And it's more responsive to changes required in skill sets of workers required..
