The country is well endowed with many metallic and non-metallic mineral resources.  India is a leading player in respect of many non fuel minerals including, iron ore, bauxite, dolomite, lime stone and mica.  Mining sector (non-fuel) currently accounts for approx 0.5% of GDP.  For accelerated economic growth on sustainable basis, this sector has to grow at a much faster pace to secure   a higher percentage in the GDP.

Scientific, sustainable and transparent mining practices require well trained manpower.  Skill development not only enhances productivity and safety at work place, but more importantly, it prepares the manpower to adapt to the new state of art technologies. Currently this sector employs around 0.2 Million workforce which is estimated to grow to 0.3 Million in next 10 years.

MINING SECTOR specially COAL MINING needs special attention, we are mining around 500 Million tonne coal but if given a little twist i believe we can easily mine 800-1000 million tone that too in just 2-3 years & this can be done by simple monitoring technology implementation which is the major difference in any PSU & Private sector policies are always more or less same. I am a young engineer working with coal mining industry for more than 2 years, help me give my ideas to you & empower INDIA

Respected Prime Minister, I would like to share my views on the expansion of Ministry in respect of Bihar. Its a caste ridden society hence caste balance is very much required. To counter Nitish's plank it is good to induct one from Mahadalit (Hari Manjhi from Gaya or Nishad from Muzaffarpur) nad one from Brahmin (Kirti Azad- 3 times MP).Giving more share to one caste at the cost of others will be counterproductive. I will keep posting my views in future too. Best Regards Krishna Mohan Pune

Example of defective policies- Every person declared under BPL category are receiving grains @Rs.1.00/2.00 per kg. A people who earns Rs.35/70 will get grain for a month. Daily wages of a unskilled person are about Rs.200/ throughout India. Why such people will work for rest 29 days of a month? This is the reason of selling of their agricultural land by small farmers . Because they have no working people in their village for cultivation

There is no need for skill development in mining sector. Its time to think that why a public sector not at par with private sectors. This is because of defective policies. It may be learnt from the fact that peoples after resigning from public sectors were taken in Reliance Mining. Skill persons are still there in public sectors but their skill has no values because of defective policies. While in a private sector they are free to take innovative decisions.
