The country is well endowed with many metallic and non-metallic mineral resources.  India is a leading player in respect of many non fuel minerals including, iron ore, bauxite, dolomite, lime stone and mica.  Mining sector (non-fuel) currently accounts for approx 0.5% of GDP.  For accelerated economic growth on sustainable basis, this sector has to grow at a much faster pace to secure   a higher percentage in the GDP.
 
Scientific, sustainable and transparent mining practices require well trained manpower.  Skill development not only enhances productivity and safety at work place, but more importantly, it prepares the manpower to adapt to the new state of art technologies. Currently this sector employs around 0.2 Million workforce which is estimated to grow to 0.3 Million in next 10 years.

Private inds, Engg colleges, PhD students and international Mining Cos can be faster, useful and be financially beneficial to the belligerents

हिन्दुस्तान एक्सप्रेस के अनुसार प्रेस कांउसिल के अध्यक्ष मार्कण्डेय काटजू ने मांग की है कि देश मेें कामन सिविल कोर्ड लागू किया जाए ताकि महिलाओें को शरीयत के अन्याय संगत कानून से मुक्ति मिल सके। उन्होंने यह भी मांग की है कि आॅनर कीलिंग के दोषियों को फांसी की सजा दी जाये। उन्होंने कहा कि तीन बार तलाक देने की व्यवस्था न्याय संगत नहीं है क्यों कि इसमें मुस्लिम महिलाओं को समान अधिकार प्राप्त नहीं हैं। उन्होने शाहबानों केस के फैसले को बदलने के लिये तत्कालीन सरकार और संसद की आलोचना की और कहा कि इस

चिकित्सा पद्धति की सबसे महत्त्वपूर्ण आवश्यकता होती है, उसकी प्रभावशालीता, तुरन्त राहत पहुँचाने की क्षमता तथा दुष्प्रभावों से रहित स्थायी रोग मुक्ति। इन मापदण्डों को जो चिकित्सा पद्धतियाँ पूर्ण नहीं करतीं, वे चाहे जितने विज्ञापन एवं प्रचार-प्रसार द्वारा दावे करें, जनसाधारण को मान्य नहीं हो सकती। उपचार प्रारम्भ करते ही परिणाम आने चाहिए। उपचार तो चन्द दिनों का आलम्बन तक ही सीमित होना चाहिए। जहाँ दवा जीवन की आवश्यकता बन जाए ऐसा उपचार और निदान सही नहीं हो सकता।

House hold industry should be developed to provide ancillary outputs and small components to Big industry. More items need to be added to House hold industry list.

Automobile industry has expanded but the technical manpower well trained and skilled is in short supply. More people need to be trained to handle the work. As such it should be developed further to create jobs.
