The NITI Aayog-led Shoonya campaign, in partnership with MyGov India, is thrilled to announce the electric vehicles Townhall, an open discussion platform for citizens to share valuable ideas and suggestions to promote and enhance the clean electric mobility ecosystem in India. The Townhall focuses on electric vehicles (EVs) and their associated advantages, including cost savings, clean air, health benefits, and emission reduction.

In line with this initiative, NITI Aayog in collaboration with MyGov, invites input from citizens.

1. It should create attractive design of electric vehicle 2. It should put high capacity energy storage battery in electric vehicle. 3. It should on road purchase value of electric vehicle is low as compare to petrol/diesel vehicle. 4. Speed of electric vehicle must good as like as petrol/diesel vehicle. 5. Licence procedure of electric vehicle must easy as compare to petrol/diesel vehicle 6. Electric vehicle service garage should be starting to increase in place of petrol/diesel vehicle service garage. 7. It should provide strong vehicle insurance with more period as compare to petrol/diesel vehicle insurance

Charging Infrastructure: The Backbone of Electric Mobility : Installing charging stations on residential streets, rather than just in central locations such as shopping malls, could have an outsized benefit. They also found that adding on high-speed charging stations along highways and making supplementary vehicles more easily available to people who need to travel beyond the single-charge range of their electric vehicles could greatly increase the vehicle electrification potential.
