Rashtriya Bal Swasthya Karyakram is an initiative to improve child survival and quality of life Health screening mainly involves 4 D’s: Defects at birth, Deficiencies, Diseases, Developmental delays & disabilities. RBSK has 3 components:

1. Health screening at birth
2. 6 weeks to 6 years through Anganwadi platform
3. 6 years to 18 years in schools

Through active and dedicated screening of children in an early stage will definitely help improve the quality of child’s life and correction for any deviation from normal life cycle will be possible.

Activities involved:

1. Complete health check up
2. Health education on various issues
3. Imparting education on National Programmes like NLEP, NVBDCP,RNTCP

Do you believe that screening a child in an early stage will improve life in the long run?

Many parents don’t have time & neglect their own children and their health not realizing that this could lead to a disaster at the later stage of life. Have you ever thought of the pain they would go through when their own children undergoing isolation, depression due to deformities, defects from their friends?

For example: Cleft lip... which is the most common birth defects in a child. This correction is best when the child attain 10-12 weeks

Do you think giving health education in schools & in anganwadis is a tool in imparting many good practices?

We all are aware about the slogan “Practice makes a man perfect” yet we feel that we are wasting time in practicing, listening and participating, practicing in any health education programme. Have you ever analyze simple health teachings /education can earn lot of money which otherwise would go for only treating your pain?
For example: causes of diarrhea by not practicing proper hand washing technique

On 26-4-15 in his speech Maan Ki baat Respected PM Mr Narendra Damodardas Modi emphasized on MAYLA MATHE PE DHONA (carrying dirt on head). The phrase was headline in each and every NEWS of the day. Is He really concern about this and made provisions of reservation in LOK SABHA, RAJYA SABHA, STATE VIDHAN SABHA, MILITARY etc etc etc ...... Such reservations are in place in other aspects of life. Respected PM Mr NARENDRA DAMODARDAS MODI SIR do you have explanation or just a speech.

Respected sir My main concern is regarding policy implementation. we have number of schemes for child and mother health but the real weakness lies in its implementation. 70% of country population resided in rural India and this is the area which lacks allmost all basic facilities including health. there are instances of either no primary health centre or if it is, is ill equipped or no docters are available. making health facilities accessible and affordable should be the prime moto.

Child Malnutrition is one of the biggest problem in our society. We should digitize the whole process on an Anganwadi and strengthen ICDS. I know people who have invented an application to fight with Child Malnutrition and also awarded IT Innovation 2014. Why don't we adopt such technologies to strengthen our ICDS and bring some drastic changes in our society.

Early screening helps a lot in improving the life in long run.Almost all defects are repairable if detected at the right stage. It is rightly said in the given above example.
