Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship is mandated to lay down a roadmap for Skill development and Entrepreneurship in the country. Developing a comprehensive and holistic policy document is an integral part of the process. This requires a fresh look at the already existing National Policy on Skill Development (NPSD), 2009.

The Ministry has been in the process of drafting a National Policy for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship 2015. Preliminary inputs were called for from all concerned Central Ministries/Departments on the work being done in the skill development and entrepreneurship space along with issues/concerns in the sector. The draft National Policy has been developed based on these preliminary inputs and in consultation with various stakeholders during the course of last six months. It is now desired to have wider consultations on the draft policy to develop a cohesive vision and roadmap for skilling India with speed, scale and standards.

In many govt. organizations funds are being provided first to be utilized afterwards. However, as a part of my little experience, most of the times whatever that money is spent on is just for the sake of finishing those grants. Rather, it should be the other way round, each department should submit a detailed budget and then grants should be given to them. You can save so much of government's money that can then be utilized for developing nation.

Skills policy to be sector wise 1. Manufacturing & Construction 2. Marketing & Retail 3. Services & Security. The funding for Training/support should be more for Manual based skills than Knowledge based skills as poor people who can not pay are in manual/physical skills. 70% Skills funds should be restricted for below 12th Class pass population workmen and supervisory level. Govt. should directly contact Industry by creating small industry groups in yearly rotation and not through Councils

First of all we all are IMMENSE happy by listening the plan for SKILL INDIA cz in the present scenario no one touch this point like SKILL INDIA.Very Firstly we should improve our ITI's and Engg. Diploma Colleges because all the set ups had already been there. And practical classes should be observed by the authority. The program's main motive is to attract Specially Big Tehseel and village students because the unemployable youth is too much there and there is no one to guide them.
