A webinar on “Transforming the Health Sector: Union Budget 2021 – Strategies for Implementation” is being organized by the Department of Health & Family Welfare along with the Department of Health Research (DHR), M/o AYUSH and Department of Pharmaceuticals on 23rd February 2021 from 10.30 AM – 1.00PM. The webinar will enable sharing of the key highlights of the budget in respect of the health sector and broad strategies for implementation which build on and leverage reforms, enacted over the past few years. Invited experts will reflect on the challenges and opportunities for strengthening policy reform and implementation and provide suggestions on effective partnerships for positive outcomes. Experts are drawn from academia, research institutions, public health experts, Industry, State health officials, Directors of AIIMS, PGI, JIPMER, NIMHANS, other Central Government Institutions and representatives from FICCI, CII, ASOCHAM, PHD Chamber of Commerce, Healthcare Federation of India.

The key announcements in the Union Budget related to Health Sector are as follows and we seek ideas and suggestions from the public and other stakeholders on the same:

1. Pneumococcal Conjugate Vaccine to be rolled across the country
2. ₹35000 crore for Covid-19 Vaccine in 2021-22
3. Supplementary Nutrition Programme and Poshan Abhiyan to be merged and launched as Mission Poshan 2.0
4. Outlay ₹64180 crore over 6 years
5. Support for Health and Wellness centres
6. Setting up of Integrated Public Health Labs
7. Establishing critical care hospital blocks
8. Strengthening NCDC
9. Expanding integrated health information portal
10. National Commission for Allied Healthcare Professionals Bill
11. The National Nursing and Midwifery Commission

Health country is a prosperous country more we spend on health sector will be. Proactive step for better future especially after the recent and ongoing pandemic health should be seen as no. 1 priority

Health is very important in our life. Then in 1948,in a radical departure from previous definitions , the World Health Organization (WHO) proposed a definition that aimed higher : linking health to well-being, in terms of "physical, mental, and social well-being, and not merely the absence of disease and infirmity. " We are celebrate the World Health Day in 7th April 20XX . Health reduces the risk of dying prematurely. Health helps to prevent and reduce hypertension & helps control weight.

new approaches to targeting which groups to vaccinate, new types of needles, and new ways to vaccinate different groups of people.1 New ways of communicating, including harnessing innovations in social and other media and making a compelling case for a specific action, can strengthen partnerships and bring new partners to the table.

Innovation can help improve program management to scale up, disseminate, and sustain high-impact interventions. Smallpox was eradicated through continuous introduction and implementation of innovations, including new organizational methods, new ways to find smallpox cases, new approaches to targeting which groups to vaccinate, new types of needles

Innovations in program evaluation can further build the evidence base for interventions by better identifying those that are not working as expected and those that are effective and ripe for scale-up.

Innovations need not be limited to science or medicine. Innovations in information systems, data collection, communication techniques, and issue framing can increase political commitment and also be essential for progress. Innovations in operations can facilitate refinement of and improvements in programs based on actual experience.

Innovation is essential to all aspects of public health strategy and program development and is critical to developing the evidence base needed to establish and refine the technical elements of successful program implementation. A new diagnostic technique, treatment, or vaccine can make a previously unattainable goal possible. New microbial genomic sequencing and bioinformatics
