Tribal development forms the foundation for the economic growth of a nation which carries with it a substantial portion of the tribal population. Supporting the native tradition is the key to building a strong community and a healthy economy. With 8% of the population of India belonging to the Scheduled Tribe it becomes critical for the government to safeguard their interest and promote their livelihood. TRIFED the Government of India established organization, supported by the Ministry of Tribal Affairs has been a security net for the tribes across the nation for over 30 years now. It has taken several initiatives for socio-economic welfare and empowerment of tribal communities through capability building, marketing, distribution, packaging, and other supporting activities.

Inhabiting the remotest parts of the country and being reserved, poses several problems for the community as well as the government in assisting their growth

• Dwelling in the Natural Habitat they carry a wealth of knowledge in plants, forest produces as well as ancient herbs, which is tantamount to that of an expert. With efficient support, this can be developed further to generate significant income for the community
• There has been an increase in the rate of unemployment among schedule tribes in the past few years owing to the lack of connection to the mainstream market
• Despite having been given reservations by the central government, residing in rural areas have posed difficulty for them in making the most of the benefits offered
• Members of the tribal community have made noteworthy contributions to the nation right from our struggle for freedom to the field of Healthcare, Education, and Technology. This shows that the community holds the potential to thrive under proper guidance

Taking the aforesaid points into consideration, TRIFED has committed itself to ensuring the all-around welfare of the Indian tribes. This is not limited to just inculcating entrepreneurial skills among them or having built an exclusive brand “Tribes India” for them but extends to establishing Van DhanKendras, providing awareness about vaccination for Covid, providing vocational training, and organizing Trade Fairs on a massive scale. The recent decision to observe the 15th November-the birth anniversary of tribal icon BirsaMunda as “Janjatiya Gaurav Diwas” is praiseworthy and TRIFED would unveil The National Tribal Festival “Aadi Mahotsav” on the following day to commemorate it. This festival is not only a platform for the tribal artisans to showcase their valuable skills but the revenue that it generates for the community is of utmost significance.

TRIFED under the visionary leadership of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri. Narendra Modi has been constantly pushing and coming up with reformed measures to realize the mission of Atmanirbhar Bharat by improving the quality of tribal produce, providing technological up-gradation, assisting in research & development and is now keen to see the suggestions of field experts, students, business leaders, social activists, subject-matter experts and all the contributors to this field in order to expedite its mission of economic development of Tribals.

As we mark the 75th year of India’s Independence we want you to have a greater stake in revolutionizing the tribal economy.

The last date to share your ideas and suggestions is 30th June, 2022

Various tribes in different far flung areas of the country may have different requirements. But I am sure that access to clean drinking water, sanitation, healthcare and electricity and road connectivity would top the list. Meanwhile a website should be setup to survey all the tribes across India and identify their potential. Later micro-credits could be worked out by both the government and private investors once they are able to find more information on these tribes through the dedicated website. The key towards helping them is information exchange and connecting them to the rest of India and making India aware of them and their potential.

Economic growth is driven oftentimes by consumer spending and business investment.Tax cuts and rebates are used to return money to consumers and boost spending.Deregulation relaxes the rules imposed on businesses and have been credited with creating growth but can lead to excessive risk-taking.Infrastructure spending is designed to create construction jobs and increase productivity by enabling businesses to operate more efficiently.

Economic growth alone does not necessarily translate into more and better jobs, especially for the poor, vulnerable and those at risk of being left behind. Economic growth is a prerequisite for increasing productive employment; it is the combined result of increases in employment and increases in labour productivity. Hence, the rate of economic growth sets the absolute ceiling within which growth in employment and growth in labour productivity can take place. However, the pattern or nature of growth matters, too. The impact of economic growth on productive employment creation depends not only on the rate of growth, but also on the efficiency by which growth translates into productive jobs. The latter depends on a range of factors, such as the sector composition of growth and the capital/labour intensity of growth within the individual sectors. There is usually a need to increase both the number of jobs and the productivity as well as incomes from employment

Forest area and tribal areas are related symbiotically. All school teachers and Students near forests, should know Forest plants and trees and their usages. Their text books in language studies should also have Lessons on those subjects. HASIRU HONNU ( Green Gold )is a book written by Dr GBL SWAMY,, which can form a good Text in Kannada language , for Science students. It is a book which should be possessed by every house in Forest areas and every school teacher, working near forest areas . The book creates unique knowledge on Forest trees and empowers tribal people to get jobs in their own situ, while protecting the forests simultaneously. Growing 32 trees as per Krishi parashara will save a person from visiting Hell, it is said. Such a knowledge and education to tribal people will strengthen the society and protecting the environment. As I had told earlier, there is need to update skill of rural and tribal people. They are at home in making echo friendly article. For example, they make multiple items of bamboo. The bamboo products is very echo friendly. the article like shoop( a container, mixed shape of rectangle and tringle use to separate hush from rice or any other grains. dagra ( a round shaped disk) also use to separate husk from grains. a hand fan called biyain, a fan make of palm leaf. mat made of date leaves, basket made from kush a tine soft plant grow near water or cannel, usually found in Bihar. with help this the tribal and some other community is expet of making mat, purse. There is need to help them financially, technically to make better product. There is also need of providing them a big market. Since years they are selling their product at local market where they did not get fair price. so there is need to take care of them

🙏🏻🚩🇮🇳🌍👍🏻💐Jai Sri Krisna. We, The Nation - The Spirits Of Aatmanibhar Bharat. A tribe is a group of people connected to one another, connected to a leader, and connected to an idea. For millions of years, human beings have been part of one tribe or another. A group needs only two things. An innovative approach is required to improve tribal populations' access to health care and raise the quality of service provided. Awareness & Education. ... Health Services to Remote Populations. ... Transportation for Expectant Mothers. ... Health Workers from Tribal Communities. ... Capacity building for Healthcare Providers. Constitutional Provisions and Safeguards: Representation in Legislatures and Panchayats: Reservation in the Service: Administration of Scheduled and Tribal Areas: Tribes’ Advisory council: Commissioner for the Scheduled Castes and Tribes: Welfare Department in the States: Educational Facilities: Scholarships: Economic Opportunities. State Governments can establish Mandis or Sandais for the tribal people to sell their commodities. This will help them to enhance their income
